Yes, I’m afraid of the tactics of the company though. There might be a way to set up a subscription option through PayPal and develop and release on your own domain. But then you’re putting development time into building another project to host your other project. I just want to perv out in the world you’re creating! Looking forward to the next release. As far as I'm aware there aren't really any viable alternatives for projects in development. Publishing is one thing but need that monthly income to live off of.
irredeemable wot you got in mind go for itGuys, I'm not trying to do something super-shady and end up getting myself banned from Patreon. I do have plan in place already.
Ok, I know I freely gave out my name but that's still a little creepy.Welcum back RON!
We're on a porn game forum, it's a little creepy by defaultOk, I know I freely gave out my name but that's still a little creepy.
Unfortunately PayPal and Stripe probably don't want to be associated with a three-way between Mom, little Billy and the family dog.Not sure how many are aware of this, but the supreme court has already ruled, that virtual porn is not real porn, and since no persons are harmed in the making, it does not violated real porn restrictions or illegality.
Could be that they are also unaware? the ruling is it protected free speech.@401Grem Maybe so, but could a dev really afford the legal costs and time to challenge patreons new policy in court? Possibly if several creators banded together to do it, but my guess is patreons counting on creators not being willing to do that. Guess it depends how far patreon goes with their clampdown.
Possible, when i was a kid i remember at school teachers punishing the whole class because of one students behaviour, even though collective punishment is illegal under the Geneva Convention. We were to young to know it was illegal so couldn't challenge it. (i know only tangently relevant but it was on my mind for some reason).Could be that they are also unaware? the ruling is it protected free speech.
No it's all good, I was just relaying the info, for people to do with as they please. Maybe it can help them, maybe not?Well like Deem said, it's not totally a legal problem, it's mainly a image problem. Mainly for the payment systems and the higher-ups. Thats why the content is ok as long as its not visible on the Patreon pages. Sure they might be stricter down the road but for now most pages were back up by removing the majority of "controversial" content.
Nah thx for sharing, it just people like to jump to the worst at times. No it's all good, I was just relaying the info, for people to do with as they please. Maybe it can help them, maybe not?
Yes, but adult CC processors charge much higer rates. eBay charges 4.2%, you'd probably pay at least 5 times that to an adult processor, or otherwise face high chargeback fees.Possible, when i was a kid i remember at school teachers punishing the whole class because of one students behaviour, even though collective punishment is illegal under the Geneva Convention. @jande21 Aren't there other payment services though? What about Epoch or CCbill which cam/porn websites use to process payments.
I thought it might be something like that otherwise there'd be alot more smaller sites who use them.Yes, but adult CC processors charge much higer rates. eBay charges 4.2%, you'd probably pay at least 5 times that to an adult processor, or otherwise face high chargeback fees.
This might sound hypocritical and this is not my opinion just a possible answer. Almost every legitimate payment processor will be hesitant to accept games that contain (and even center around) content such as incest, rape, mind control, drugs, shota, lolicon, or a combination of such things.@jande21 Aren't there other payment services though? But anyways getting off-topic, happy you got your page back @irredeemable hopefully it didn't set the next version back too much.
I've been getting the shakes ever since I've seen the preview of her in the living room. It's been too long :tiredface:I want to fuck me some megan:FeelsGoodMan::heartcoveredeyes:
