Were you not around then? The guy took SO long to release updates, time after time again he said he would get an update out by x date and then broke that promise. Yet everyone forgives him and the mods kept defending him. The game was dead for many months and when the update finally came, way later than promised each time. It was complete garbage still. But the guy acted like he was working so hard that he was killing himself, yeah right.

Most of the time Deem had other ppeople fix the bugs in his 'coding' too..

I'll give you a couple hints, check that discord link I gave 2-3 pages ago, you'll find some f95zone mods on his members list. You'll also notice that every so often Deem shows up on his Discord. He doesn't say anything or do anything, but he does show up. That of course doesn't mean the game is not abandoned, but he definately wants people to think it isnt so they can keep giving him money

Just to clarify, I'm one of those who deleted some those posts "critical" of Irredeemable. I deleted posts "defending" irredeemable as well. My reason for the deletions were always given and they were usually because someone would attack another member. I'm not talking about making a point or anything like that. I was deleting actual attack posts. The attacks from both sides involved some name calling, trolling, etc. Many were posts like "Bad game. Delete!", others were attacks like "Moderator is a cuck because he deleted my post calling deem a cuckenstein."
I started out trying to be neutral and give deem the benefit of the doubt (as we all should) and even when trying to remain neutral, I was cast on one side or the other. Of course, over time, I saw deem's behavior get worse, and I called him on it. The point is, at no time did I go all out attack or get mean. I was firm and curt but never in "attack mode" like the posts that were deleted. There's a line between attack and criticism and the ones I deleted were attacks. Not criticism.
I can recall being "confronted" by 2 guys here for being on deem's side at one point. So I used a conversation to tell them about the rules then I showed one of them a post where I was critical of irredeemable. After that, they no longer talked about me as much. But what can you do when people run off like that? You need to reign them in, right? Gotta nip the shit in the bud before it becomes cancerous. But the problem is that it kept coming back. Over and over to the point where it was seriously considered by staff/admins to literally shut this thread down. I mean NUKE IT.
As to this being a thread of "fawning over" deem, it isn't. Look, take a real good read here. We've got nearly 500 pages here and most are critical of him. They're still up there, aren't they?

In my opinion, there was a clear caesura. Bevor and after the banning of his Patreon page. Sure maybe he was a bit sloppy and had poor time managing skills (which a lot of Devs have) but overall he was one of the big dogs here with more fans than critics and I would bet if we had a poll about F95 most liked character, that his Meg would be easily under the top five.
He and Darksilver did the most radical changes in their games. And it was a hot mess, but I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

So if you just look at the 2.0 fiasco, yeah it looks pretty bad for him, but you should take into consideration the things that happened bevor 2.0 overall they were good things. At that time I thought it was just a pretty bad slip up. It should not happen, but it did. After that, there were the hotfixes and I was pretty sure, things would go back to normal which was obviously wrong.

Long story short: 2.0 was bad, but with everything that had happened bevor I was somewhat ok with it at that time. I did not foresee his "ghosting"

Just my conspiracy theory: Something happened during the ban phase of his Patreon site. Maybe he thought pills or incest are a vital part of the game or another factor x. He could not say that these things are vital because then everybody would know, that the game is dead. So he tried to work around these but failed in 2.0. After 2.0 he realized, that this game can not be saved without x but he is too proud to admit this to his followers. That's why he disappeared.
The other possibility would be a critical illness.

@muttdoggy And that's a good thing if you can somewhat maintain neutrality, but most people can't and I remember other staff members who were clearly more biased than that and quite a few of my posts were also deleted for being critical. I'm not as snowflaky as other people, but at least in my opinion I never made it personal, I always emphasized that I give him shit for his stupid business practice (bad communication, dishonesty about content, problems and such), but I didn't attack him on a personal level and things still got deleted. On the other hand I don't really remember that blatant lies like "OMG, the next update will be SOOOOO awesome, it will have SOOOO much cool content" ever got deleted.
I don't mean to stir up old stories, but that was the other side of the story, especially with other mods and since they were also affiliated with Irredeemable, it seemed somewhat suspicious.

1.632 was the last "good" release I think, at least it was before the Patreon crackdown. 2.0 and all its pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre alpha builds were the point where shit started piling up.

Honestly I'd pay somone a ton to continue this game,This game is why I even still play games from this site,This is the best game on here and was making a fortune for a long time,Icstor got better but DMD and This were the two big games here,I'd honestly go back to pledging on this game over 100 dollars if it had a update but I doubt it ever will,Im a member of his discord and he does come around sometimes so hes working so something but it might not be around for a long time,funny fact is if he did do a update I bet he would make back 5k on patreon in like a day,I know this thread gets checked everyday by thousands still

Seriously, for me a big part was the humor. There are some genuinely funny moments, and the MC walked the line between lovable and jerk quite well. So I was very invested in the story, and tits attached to someone with a personality I care about will always be better than random tits (though never turn away random tits).

The other big thing, unfortunately, were the promises of the game. At its height, we were told there were plans for every girl to be controlled with pills or seduced normally or romantically ignored (I was always intrigued that a featured path you could take would be monogamy, that you'd just be a good teacher and repair your marriage, and there'd be a full story attached to that). It was to be a Fallout: New Vegas in a sea of Fallout 4s.

I think the backlash stemmed from those promises. Nobody would be too broken up about a barely translated RPGMaker porn slideshow with Poser 4.0.3 models not making it past version 0.0.2b. But this game had a good story on track to be a great story, better than decent models and a great writer at the helm (despite what I think about Deem personally, Teacher's Pets was one of the best written porn game I've ever played.)

You asked about pills being removed, and while at the time I understood why, yeah, it took a big aspect out of the game, an aspect promised to be an optional route. I had some hope Deem could have written himself out of that restriction, but alas, we all know now what happened.

That's a very good description of the game. Sadly I think I am capable to remake the game's scenes and the coding part. But I will never be able to make a good continuation in the story part because my English knowledge and my vocabulary are so low how dd a remake (with a full copy the current game) my part it would be so bad that I would not dare to acknowledge.
(+ if I really started doing this project I don't know what will be best f.e: using the current models and etc or complete redo with new ones.+I do not know what people think about it at all. )
