That is true that there been certain false positive, however need to back track to prove that it is false positive and make the exemption to exclude that specific file. However in other hand, it at your own risk. I ran into this issue on release 3 and release 4. I have not came across much on other games.
I just downloaded the compress version to see what the result.

I have confirmed this compress resolved the Tentacular.exe issue, I haven't modified the security suite on my system. I know that if I downloaded the original size that would get red flag. The question is what is causing the original package to get red flag compare to the compression. I am only saying this that there is a possibility.....
(1) It may just be false positive, need to look into it more deeply into the possibility.
(2) It may be possible the uploader(s) (** Not Jackerman **) may have infected system
(3) It may be possible the package been re-modified by another person and it re-packaged and uploaded.
Since I found a working application, I may not test any more. I was about to create a virtual machine for this to figure out what the issue it. I had worked with several false positive application, security, and systems over the years. Which it why I asked Jackerman nicely about checking his system (I usually say the word "may", like... You may have an issue with this file or etc.). I didn't say that it was the source. The question is why the original package size get flagged and the compress package size doesn't get flagged for the "Tentacular.exe".
I enjoyed this game and I wasn't expecting to, even though I'm not into some of the fetishes included either.
A similar premise and art style would work well in a space harem type game I think, sans the bestiality (or at least with it not as the main plot)

so, since i run Pen'Py games in my AV's Sandbox anyway, they don't do anything suspicious. they just can't. on this system i use Comodo, the full free version, for convenience up front, no warning so far on this game; i've used Avira, Avast and some few other 'convenient' in the past for other systems, with the same effect: either they become bloated and provide you with more and more unneeded extras, or they actually become scareware, Avast is a good example.. few years ago you could have some popup at random times, saying stuff like "YOU COULD HAVE CAUGHT VIRUS RIGHT NOW GO UPGRADE" some along that line, or some of the more thorough ones were too complex for the family.
every serious AV creator will have his work at some point tell you, if you set this AV to dig really deep, and do deep heuristics, it will find false positives. especially Kaspersky uses deep heuristics by default, and will find alot stuff 'suspicious' in some way. the downside is, the AV company can't handle all those positives sent in for checkup in any decent timeframe. or, someone says OMG KASPERSKY SOUNDS RUSSIAN MUST BE SPAI that happens as well, hehe..
so from time to time, do yourselves a favour fellas, and work your fav. search engine for AV comparsion, regards of quality, size, false positives, missed virussusses and so on. easy to find, on google or wherever.

Alright, so I didn't realize this would start a huge thing. Look, it may be a false positive. Not claiming it's anything else. It's super weird that this is the ONLY GAME ON THIS SITE I've downloaded that did that, but whatever. I doubt this is the dev trying to rootkit our computers, but it is something that needs fixing because, let's face it, it looks sketchy to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that the .exe is flagged by so many antivirus software suites, especially when so many others aren't.
In short, maybe the dev is Hackerman with a lazy name change, maybe he's just a dude that likes making games with spaghetti code, maybe it's the uploader bugging our systems, I don't know. None of us really can know. I do, however, think it is important he knows for the future that his game is doing this continuously and that it is (at the very least) annoying, so he can prevent it in the future or point us to what it causing it when he does find out so we can prevent it.
Let's all go back to enjoying our fetish porn and hiding our browsing histories from our significant others like real adults.

Check the release update and read it as 4/4 which means this is the final update but will have patches for maybe added content? Not sure but I hope he continues.

see here i've seen in my short time being here, that there are the very same complaints by people in other game threads on this site. this here is FAR from being the only one. Ren'Py, like other 'engines' used to create games do a number of things which trigger alerts, depending on the AV and OS settings, exactly like other programs made by whatsit, 'serious' er 'big company' whatever else software creators. some AV even raises objections over windows components. just read it up, or send in the 'suspicious' file to your AV's company for them to deep check it. they could even tell you what exactly gives the alarm on your own system.
