This dude has mastered the art of Milking, reaching Dr. Bones and Negal's Nest levels.

The problem is probably cause people are generally not patient, by average. So when TD is taking SUUUUUCH a long time to even get an update, no wonder people might feel like they don't want to invest or put time into waiting further. I get it, i really do. But the reality being is that when you are developing something entirely on your own, despite using RPGM as the engine, making original CG content and iterations to the Engine with their own spins and designs, this will take an absolute ludicrous amount of time to develop, much less finish it.

TD WILL take a few years. And will take longer the more content is planned or if the Developer, JimJim feels like it lacks something or wanna fix/change something. I refuse to belittle JimJim for anything. In fact, i admire this passion and fervency to make it as good as possible before finish line. People leaving or getting upset isn't his fault. It is the effect of impatiency and how fucking petty and entitled human beings has become to think life is so easy to just make something in a short timespan for them to consume in mere days, if not hours. My issue is Modern Human is a demanding brat with the attitude of a spoiled psychopath. Disconnect yourself from your boundless hunger, test your patience as far as you can, and if you can wait for a finely made dish and eat it slowly, you will feel true euphoria. Not the muck you expect.

You get low quality Chinese crap if you keep asking for more and more and more, in larger quantities and never satisfied. Time, money and resources is required to make something good. Time being key here, and Time is a limited resource.

If this make any sense to you, then good. If not...well, at least i tried to explain this in the most blunt and proper manner i could manifest you sound just like me for breeding season and you see how that came out

wtf this man made an analogy outta nowhere about the modern man lmao, don't take your anger out on society in a comment about a porn game dude, if he can't post the updates in the time he PROMISED he could deliver it, then simply don't promise things you can't fullfill

least you can do is give people they give you money updates about the game how hard is it to say you're still working on the game

I have been throwing $10 to the author for more than two years (Special Forces subscription). I took such a subscription for comics and other things. Comics come out super rarely (pages), the update comes out once a year. Can I complain or do I need to increase the amount?
Sorry that i didnt reply to your comment, all i wanted to say is that for the people that are on the Free side and expecting everything from TD to happen they shouldnt complain, now for the people that pay regulary (every month) are more acceptable to complain as i would, But since i know this games takes very long time to finish im just waiting and because you are paying more you have every right to complain.

I think discussions like this is actual for games which is gets updates at least once per 3-6 months, then some people says this is ok pace, others wants updates much faster, if you supporting author financially - you can speak about your wishes, if not - no.
But this game.. correct me if I'm wrong, but last version, which is 0.9(0.10 didn't released yet) came out 2 years ago. This is just funny, to get small update of an story once in 2-3 years. I wonder who can to be focused and keep interest in such conditions(een author himself). It's more philisophical topic than an right to complain, is this game worth any attention or not. More than 2 years for an update with 2 hours of gameplay, 2 damn years in modern super fast world. In that time Karryn's Prison did reach from scratch to completed game, and almost over an DLC for KP. I bet KP's author will create concept of his new game and will release some playable demos, befor Terminal Desires will get stable 0.10.

I still follow this thread just being curious about how far it can get. I think that meme-potential of this case is even bigger than in case with Pure Onyx.

you can (usually) move RPGM saves across versions by moving the save folder into the new versions working folder.
Yeah, but if the game's systems change drastically enough, they won't work... which is what's being asked.
The answer is no, but should be the last time. The reason 11.0 is taking so long is BECAUSE JimJim wants to avoid major system changes in the future, and thus is making them all at once.

That is correct. The new version will be completely re-built and old-saves will very likely be broken.
Thanks but I meant it as: do you guys know if the next update will still be an alpha/beta and if you play that version you won’t be able to keep the save for the full release?

11.0 'should' be the last build that breaks saves, assuming JimJim doesn't get ideas again, which they likely will.
