What if you kill 2 birds with one stone and release the version without the achievement system first.
The ones that want to play it even if they have to start from scratch can play it and the patient ones can wait for the "complete" game?.
It's still up to you though but i think that would make both parties happy.

Same here, the image paths are all over the place, some looking on the C: drive, some even in the user temp files!
