Right-click it and select "Save Link As...". A single left-click will cause a browser to just open it as a text file since that's basically all the save file is.

You can see a yellow border around the locations if it's where the events will happen. What I do when I'm lost is I'll stay in my room and skip time until I see a yellow border and click to where the location is.
