Broken chapters might be caused by the script and archiving changes. Unless you've tampered with files or transferred saves, there shouldn't be a problem.

ah gave a try to the guide mod so probably is that, weird that it only breaks the first two chapters.
Hopefully the game will be divisible into a love or corruption route so scenes can be unlocked with only two playthrough in the long run, having to replay three times to play all the different way you can take one girl virginity is a bit much.

beginning scene where girl that shot cops appear at apartment and onward
1- girl appears at door, mc is in apartment back turned to door and conversation and gun plays on
2-cops at door, they start questioning mc but he is still in apartment facing opposite side and girl at door..

Your error is caused by a missing variable caused by an outdated script. Have you used the unofficial walkthrough mod or changed/added anything in the game directory prior to updating?

New update seems to be looking better than previous good job! Added the game to my signature since its great so far and story focused VN with a few choices is my favorite genre bonus for HS1 models.
Will def be giving a few bucks to the patreon has soon has I pay my debts ah (used to be an engineer but quit to join a AAA studio has a concept artist but the cost of moving put me in the red a bit, should be clear soon tho)
If I were you id prob do away with the 1,50$ patreon tier, if people wanna support most wouldnt mind the 3$ tier so its a net loss, some just wanna give the minimum amount of money available just to feel like they are doing something, ofc my experience is with freelance art but I think the same principle can apply, I think Ripples is prob the game with the better tier prices on here, deviant anomaly also has 4$ has its lower tier so you know hes racking in money with all his subs. Just my own opinion I dunno the porn game scene that much.

Prior to this update no, I didn't used a walkthrough mod. But way before this update, yes, I did. When I played the previous update from that save file with a vanilla setup, I managed to play just fine even with a tainted save file.
The thing is, your save is stuck in a rollback loop because of a missing variable. Said variable isn't missing however, which just causes it to loop back around.
Have you tried any other save aside from that one? Does it work or does it still have the same error?
Oh dammit, I don't know how but the immediate save just before the one I sent here somehow worked now... I keep going back on saves since earlier and somehow it just worked now. Well, I'll be playing the update for now.
Hehe hell yeah! I will live to see and make sure to see the day I get the harem without Alice in it... I must, oh boy how glorious it would be when we finally get there!
