Yea I never really understood the landlord/landlady stuff as it does not actually convey any sort responsibility over the individual in English. It simply the person who owns the residence you renting or living in. Someone who is responsible for another is generally parent, guardian or caretaker. But even then you would not refer to them as that in normal speech unless using it as a description. Of course, at least in English, you would not generally refer to a sibling as sis/sister or bro/brother, you would refer to them by name unless as stated before it is as a description.

I think that's the point. It's the most far-removed term from anything to do with incest so it can get past the censors but still explain why the hell they're all living in the same place. I want to say it was a joke at first as in "See? This older lady is not in any way related to or taking care of these characters! Happy now?" Cause all slots are full and I'm not at the end of the current game yet, and the game is not yet finished either.
The better question is, why limit the number of slots in the first place? What's the benefit? It only has downsides, not a single upside.

That one is sort of an easter egg. you get it by choosing to back down with Linda in the prologue when she threatens you and then just keep choosing the red choice

That is caused by the prologue being remade. The choice there doesn't get used.
