No. If you got the game following the patreon tags, I forgot to update them, but now they are fixed.

For as much as I always want games to update with new content, I honestly believe your next update should be v0.35 and you should spend all the time you need to finalize and complete your UI. Including whatever functions or artwork you need to get done for it. Even if it's for things that won't be implemented yet, you should get your stats system and traits menu completely fleshed out as well as your Glossary.

If these are things that are meaning to be paid attention to as the game progresses, it would be better to have the system fleshed out completely before you really start moving forward.

You don't want to be on version 8 and still not have the thing working right.

That's precisely what I plan to do, and it's v0.31

I just played this game and enjoyed it a lot (especially the mommy roleplay with Zoey).

A big letdown for me is the audio though.
It feels like half the game has zero background music or ambient.
And while the existing music is good - it also is overly silent and the volume of some tracks is very inconsistent.

This doesn't really look like a "visage of terror" to me. It looks more like a cute catgirl without her ears.

Yeah, sorry about the audio. Thing is I have a very nasty case of tinnitus, and I can't listen to louder music and my perception of loudness varies from day to day. I'll do a pass to make it louder and equalize it.

There is an easy answer for this however.
Do what I do, rename directory with the version in it.

I don't mean that to sound snotty or condescending.
I doubt they will change how they do things.
Its easier to adapt to it, because the comment is likely to be ignored.

I know it sounds annoying but if you watch many games, you will likely run into this issue often.

More seriously, can you name your build version? I don't remember which version I have, it's not shown in the game menu, not even in "about".

Considering there are 24 timezones that is not a unlikely possibility.
Also changelog says the new version is just a bugfix so i don't think it matters much to download now or wait for the next big update.

Yes good suggestion, I forgot to do it for the last version I got. But it's more convenient not to have to do that

What I coincidence.
I also have pretty nasty tinnitus (I'm on disability for it) which is why no-audio-sections bother me a lot.

Stuff like volume normalization doesn't require actual hearing though.
You can open tracks in Audacity to visually see their volume levels and adjust them to be about the same.
Or you can be lazy (like me) and just use the "Loudness Normalization" effect on all tracks using a macro.
It's pretty easy even if you've never used Audacity before.

Ah, a fellow connoisseur of buzzing noises! Though, I think between us you have it worse. I have to take care of mine in order for it to not become even nastier.
Thing is, some music needs to be loud and some needs to be low, and some needs to change (like the scene behind the club, where the song doesn't change but it's less loud, or the heart beats). Anyway, I did a loudness pass and added a bit of music in one or two places. Hopefully it's better now.

I didn't edit the date actually, must have been a moderator. And yeah, I'll toss in game version somewhere. Either in the preferences menu or in the zip, or both.

The new version was the one before that and the latest one. I wanted to get more feedback on the new UI, and get some new, fresh eyes on it, but I was in a hurry so I didn't do a separate post in this thread.
I think someone might have edited the thread and pushed it and then someone else thought it was just v0.31>0.32 which only has text fixes so they pulled it back. Mods do all kinds of stuff with my threads, so I've given up on fixing them up, I just post a mega link and changelog if I remember and report the thread as far as front page goes.



Anyway, for everyone else following the thread: there's a new version up, it contains reworked UI and some flavor and some text fixes. No new story. Old saves no longer work. You can check it out now or wait for v0.4.

Hello all,
Resident Vampire Phile and Rebirth Scholar here.
I have been following and playing this game since launch.

Some comments.
1- I do like how the developer makes clear that the desire for sex will fade as the blood takes over. That is in keeping with a lot of good vampire lore.
2- I like that the MC is an adult male, not a fresh punk kid.
3- I love the mentor, she has spunk and is worthy of attention.
4- I love the Doc.... I just love her.
5- I love our new landlord..... again, I just love her.
6- Story is engaging enough, and certainly is pulling on some vampire strings. Another update or two and I will definitely raise my "high potential" review to even greater heights!

I'm more of a fan of taditional vampires like Dracula or Camilla. Sexual predators on top of bloodsuckers. Not a fan of asexual vampires from Anne Rice's Chronicles.
If I remember correctly part of the inspiration for The Bite was True Blood and those are some hypersexualized motherfuckers.

There are tons of sexualized stories on here, which are nothing but sex and more sex. There are vampires, granted most are Asian, that are sex machines in their stories. I love the idea that the blood addiction outweighs the sex drive. But hey, that is just me, and I know I am in the minority as you well know my friend!

These vampires need something to strive for .. what moves them?
The romance, the love, the will to make something of themselves.
That is innate in all humans. It gets accelerated once they turn.
Hunting females for blood the same way they hunted them for sex.
That is the exact same thing.
Remember the bar scene where MC fell sure victim to vampire charms.
That is molly induced seduction, it is all there is to hunting humans the way this game
shows it.
