So I've been toying with an Idea. In the development process of "Raising Coceter" (The tentative name for Anya and Arya's spin off.) I've wrote a set of code that allows me to read and write to XML files so I can record choices you make in the game, and read quest data on the fly.

My idea is to use this same code to record the choices you make in each Chapter, and then release each chapter in it's own separate game. Then you'd just have to copy this file from one game to the other to import your choices from one chapter to another. Something akin to the Mass Effect series.

Let me know your thoughts below and vote away. I'll keep this poll up for awhile.
I enjoy Nverjos' work, but when I see something like "spin off" or "side project" it makes me nervous. On one hand I enjoy their work, so anything can be good. On the other hand it means less time and effort devoted to their main project. Of course taking time off yet still working can be a reset/refresh sort of exercise, however we all know how these games go and it can spell a precipitous decline for the main project. That being said, exporting choices into some sort of format like XML or JSON (makes more sense since everyone is using jScript) makes sense as opposed to janky ass RPGMaker format. However it doesn't solve missing variable issues unless the developer accounts for them.

Think so should just wait until the full release
Well, that's just good practice, otherwise buyer(or in this case, pirate) beware.

So Beta 2 is out now? What exactly does that mean? Is there still content missing like in the Alpha or is this more or less the equivalent of a standard release?

Release Notes:
Currently the storyline still ends in the same spot, I'm still rendering the end of Night 2 scenes.

  • Fixes to Chapter 4 content from previous Beta 1
  • Added NPC's and Flavor Text (To most all of them)
  • Added new interactions with Keena, Keegan, Xara, Taler, Yusara, and Ava
  • Finished the Training Scene with Yusara
  • Added Quest Log updates (Main Quest, 4 Side Quest)
  • Removed one map (Seemed redundant)
  • Fixed Jalin not approaching the player when entering South Eldin

Spoilers In this next section
  • There are 4 ways to end the first night (Sage, Courtney, Keena, or Keena and Courtney) Play this night right and you can get an extra scene later at end of night 2 (its not in game yet)
  • There are Two variations to the Ent scene (one involves walking away after starting the blowjob)
  • There are three versions of the Ava and Brooke sex scene
  • The Peeping Tom (new to this version) moves around town both days, depending on the the time of day.
  • Tatia (new character) has an unmarked quest and moves around depending on the day and time.
  • Some storyline npc's now have further conversations outside of the main story if you find them roaming the maps.
  • I'm aware of a bad animation in a scene involving Keegan, I haven't had a chance to fix it yet. It plays, but looks wonky.

Seems like Nverjos keeps nearly biting off more than the dev can chew with each update. Not that I'm complaining about the amount of story players get, its just that it seems the dev is so into the game this leads to always trying to pack too much into an update. This then inevitably results in the reworking of an existing release.

I really like this story -line, its well thought out and has a definite direction. The pacing of plot development to the frequency and manifold types sex scenes (especially pre-Patreon bullshit) has a good balance. Add in the great graphics its what makes Coceter Chronicles so much fun to play. Tabbie is hands down one of the hottest characters in any game.

Still want tentacle porn attack from pool under the castle.

I wouldn't mind waiting longer for a new update if it gave Nverjos time to have a completed story which fits the dev.'s vision.

It's only a patch release (51.8MB). There's no real content here. Just fixes to minor bugs, and some story triggering events. You need to have the front page v.14 Alpha for this patch to be applied too. Oh, daily reading and exercise was re-instated along with lore spots.
