Well if you want to be so technical about it then you can't call it NTR since the MC's love interest isn't the mother by the way. They are not in a relationship. They are literally mother and son.
But this is a game and NTR/cuckoldry go hand in hand in 90% of content and in this game there is a lot of content not being explored for this genre, it is weak. I kind of agree here. I think he's interesting when he is dealing with the killer specifically, but otherwise doesn't add much to the story. Any girl he saves is game over, so that's uninteresting past the whichever branch that ends up being. He's supposed to be a pathetic loser, so he never overcomes his bullies, again unless he is dealing with the killer. So the fact that his route with the continued murder is on hold for now, really limits what his story can be.

I have absolutely no idea what the intended direction for this game is at this point.
It seemed like GG had/has an opportunity to gain power in the criminal underworld, but now that is being undermined, even though GG can actively help Calicoe. Garvey and GG were the only slightly sane and reasonable people in this story, so their fight felt super contrived, and the whole scene was a lot of absurdist racism.
The MC revealed to GG who was directly responsible for killing her husband, and she had absolutely no reaction? She has never properly confronted Jamal on his involvement and his hypocrisy of how he treats her either.
Astrid being written out of the story on the Jamal route is an incredibly strange decision, and I don't understand the benefit of it, nor the purpose of her character involvement in the story and the constant abuse she has received. On the other hand, her best option is hanging out with Jamal during the gang route, the person who raped her and sabotaged her school?
The cartoonish e-celeb somehow benefiting GG's career didn't make a lot of sense, unless Savannah's brother confides in her that GG stood up for her and wouldn't sabotage her. Also considering the games obsession with race-play, it is unusual to see GG have a scene with a different FUB character.
The entire flashback storyline with Slim Jones just ends up being shock value with more dead women, not amounting to anything other than showing the already obvious fact of how psycopathic Savannah's brother is.
The renders for GG were really ugly and uncanny this update too.
The story seems to be going all over the place, and the narrative is branching out in a confusing way.

For Jamal love route I would say that whether Astrid survive or not doesn't really matter anymore since most likely you not going to see her mom much anymore. Instead it will probably shift towards Savannah and Maggie more since Maggie survive her killing and Savannah as your "GF".
On the Gang Clubhouse house route if you play both scenarios then you kinda somewhat understand how it happened to this point. If you didn't frame Dredd and continue to let him live, you basically make GG becomes the bad guy and deceived both Astrid and her mom to take up the gang sex tasks for her. Frame Dredd will lead to Cal killed Dredd and get GG one step closer to get Cal kill Jamal soon cause power struggling. Astrid leave the clubhouse with Jamal, she doesn't have anybody to rely on anymore because she thought GG is the one who sell out both her whole family to the gang, so she become vulnerable and Jamal become the guy to help her.
