Just a followup on
amster22 's post.
This is a 'catch up' sale today, so all items that were in the 'bonus mad' category are back as well. If you did purchase a featured new release in the last three days, that's an extra 70% off.
Of course, the cheapest featured new releases have been at least $7, and you'd need two of them to trigger the extra 10% off. I just checked to see if the weekly Daz+ freebie would 'count' of course it doesn't. It was a long shot...
As for whether the weekly Daz+ new items would trigger the extra 70% off, no idea. Has anyone tried this? Also, not sure if you could buy a featured new release today, then try to buy the catch up items to qualify for the extra 70% or not. I think I tried this once in past sales, but I don't remember how it turned out.
So, yeah, this sale is a bit less sad, but if you are going to buy stuff, today would be a good day to give it a looksee. The two new item 'buy in' for the 25% off gift cards is normally annoying, as you'll need to buy two qualifying new items, so $20 minus what you pay for the new items on a $200 gift card would be your break point math (i.e. pay $15 for new items, that extra 10% off turns into 2.5% factoring in those items), that'll improve if you are buying a larger gift card.
Also, you won't get the 'built in' store credit discount on any other items you buy, and I wouldn't recommend adding any other items in your cart if you are looking to use that discount on other items, so if you want that extra 10% off plus the 25% off other items from your gift card, you'd end up buying four qualifying new releases today to trigger the extra 10% discount in a 'followup' cart.
My store credit is in good shape atm, but 25% off is close to the best we've seen recently (the other time this year involved a probably unintended stacking discount on the Daz3D.com end).
If anyone decides to, or has already tried the buy new item today to trigger the extra 70% on bonus mad items in a followup purchase thing, let us know how that goes.
