Someone else may have already noted this, in which case, apologies, but it looks like DAZ has a *new* free Megapack, Megapack 2. Given how they promote stuff, I almost missed this as it looks identical in thumbnail form to Megapack 1 did.

I've been critical of DAZ+ in the past (I feel they don't give enough love to the faithful, lol) but the freebies lately have been pretty nice. This month's conference room is solid, and the mega pacs do have a few items from my wishlists, so that was nice too.

Oh, and in the $1.99 pile today:
The sauna that every single VN uses:

and, exciting to maybe only me:

I've been waiting for this to go on sale for a while, and according to DAZ Deals, this is the best price in a year!

In those 8 items for 2.99$ sales there is this clothing item: and I wanted to point out that there are some older clothes (like this one) where texture sets are compatible across figure generations (so the genesis 2 texture sets work on genesis 3 and 8 and the other way around).

That can be useful to know because you can often buy the older texture sets in these 2.99$ sales for ~40 cents. And imho they can make a big difference. So using the example above, you can go to the Genesis 2 variant of the clothing: and see all the texture sets for it. Those are all compatible with the Genesis 3 one, but not linked on its store page.

I always look for those texture sets, especially for the older clothing items I got for free or very cheap at some point. Like today I bought this one: which makes the pants from this relatively mediocre outfit: into a halfway decent jeans. Of course, it is still not a great model, and also the texture is actually very low res. But on the other hand, the whole thing (including the other texture set) cost me only around 1$.

EDIT: for what clothing items are compatible across generations there is a forum thread that is also linked when you have the Daz Deals extension installed:

Renderosity is having a small $5.99 sale this weekend only:

Not that much quantity-wise, but includes both Pamawo (a couple of bodysuits OhWee!) and FefeCoolYellow, two of my favorite Renderosity artists.

This thread keeps falling off of my notifications, no I have not 'unwatched' this thread. This is even more annoying because I started this thread, so you'd think that'd give me 'extra notification points' or something...

Anyways, Daz+ members should note that there may be an orange banner today that says 80% off select bundles. Note that this is 80% off (total) and doesn't seem to stack with anything, say the 30% off DO discount.

Other than that, looks like more of the same. A good same IMHO, as I've been grabbing a lot of $1.99 stuff...

This $1.99 corridor builder item has a fairly strong Star Wars Episode IV vibe...

I may renew my Daz+ membership a few months early just because at some point this month, so that I'm not left hanging around the mid point of next year (insurance). I've been pretty happy with the $1.99 stuff that's been circulating through this sale, and my only complaint is that the $12.99 (if Daz+) bundles are cycling a lot faster than they did last year. Hopefully the one I missed shows up again in a catch up sale this month.

I canceled my Daz+ that I just got so that it won't renew at the full price, and I got an email with a 30% off code: DAZ-PLUS-30. This code stacks with the existing 40% off and brings the cost down to $29.40, but you can only use it once.

Also, if you purchase Daz+ when you already have an active subscription, it simply adds a year to your expiration date. If Daz does an insane deal on Daz+, then you can get several years of it on the cheap.

Thanks for the heads up!

Am I the only one that sees this particular product (it's $1.99 Daz+ for a day) and thinks 'Sex Cult Commune'?

Since all the select bundles are already on sale, figuring out how much something will actually cost isn't obvious, so let me spell it out:

if the product is shown on page with a 45% discount, then with an 80% discount it'll cost about 1/3rd of the 45% price. For example, if the price listed at 45% is $46.72, that's a list price of $84.95, and with an 80% discount it becomes $16.99, which is about 1/rd of $46.72. (It's closer to 36% of the price, but 1/3rd gives you the ballpark.)

I just checked a few Originals with the discount code, and what is interesting is there must have been a really great sale recently. None of the ones at 80% are as good as some recent sale.

You can check daz deals history and see on 2022-05-30 there were some super low prices. There was some kind of glitch that day that took them several hours to fix and large portions of the store were 85% off.

Also, there is a flash sale:
1009-flash.jpg
The only good thing I can say about it is that it only requires two items for the maximum discount. Maybe if you really really like some Stonemason assets.

Holy crap, I found a coupon code that works on gift cards!

15% off entire order with code
DAZ15

So 30% off total if you are going for the 18% off, this will also take 15% off of your two new release prereqs (except for the Anniversary Bundle, that's stubbornly still $12.99).

Just a little over a half hour left before Daz midnight, so move fast if you want to jump on the 10% off/18% off with 2 new releases over $10 each sale!
I tried today and DAZ15 did not work. More precisely, it worked on the new release (which means that it is still valid), but not on the GC :( (Another evidence that the Daz staff reads f95 forums to fix their blunders!)

And, in fact, today we have 20% off high-value Gift Cards with a purchase of a new release over $5. (Which actually means $6, unless you want a clarinet.) Plus new anniversary bundle, new $1.99, etc.
You can indeed purchase a cheap new release or the new daz+ bundle at $12.99, but, if there are a couple of debut/still new releases that you like, you can combine the GC sale with other offers. When you purchase two debut/still new releases, you get a discount on the new releases and, more importantly, $10 off 4 categories. The items in these categories are undiscounted, but with D+ 45% off DO items, you can find assets below $10 and they are effectively free.

I am just trying it out by putting stuff into my cart, but you don't need to buy anything, the weekly freebie is enough.

Argh, I just bought one earlier this week with the previous gift card sale...Should I get another? (Thanks for the freebie tip-it makes me feel a lot better about a freebie I have literally zero use for, lol)

We've all been there, I am looking at it just the same. It depends. Are you not ready to be even more pissed off when they do a surprise 25% gift card sale? Or Ohwee finds another 30% off coupon that works on gift cards? Then better don't!

Are you running low on gift card money and are really into buying stuff right now? Do you know you going to keep spending in the upcoming sales? Then it might be better to secure 20% off on everything right now while you can, that 25% off sale might never come.

re: the BYOB sales so far-someone on the DAZ forums mentioned DAZ "usually" has a 'catch-up' day for these sales where they post all of them or something? Is that a thing? Because otherwise it is kind of evil genius marketing to have iRAY materials items on sale on separate days from the original items, lol.

They usually have catch-up sales, yeah. It can even be at a lower price (buy ten to get an extra 10% off for example), can also be at a higher price though. I think the catch-up sale also can miss items sometimes, but I am not sure. Like they would do a catch-up sale for the week, but not the entire sale.

There's a 60% flash sale on Daz Originals right now (for Daz+ it ends up being 72% off), but everything I looked at, those prices aren't even competitive with a week ago, much less the best price in the last year.

And it struck me how CRAZY the Daz store is. Normally I have the "show long history" in Daz Deals, but I turned on "short history" so I could see recent price in more detail, and, I know we all know this, but I actually stopped to think about it. WTF, look at this graph of the price of a product over the last month.

How?!? Why?!? Why would you make the price of your products so random?

Like, it's weird enough that it's constantly changing price, but also, instead of just hitting three different price points, it's hitting all sorts of different random ones. And this isn't even counting special deals with requirements, which Daz Deals doesn't account for.

Daz3D people are cray cray.

It really is crazy. Just the more I watch the site, the more crazy it seems, lol. Like, all these sales just get so convoluted- "20% off this list of stuff if you buy 2 items from either this list of stuff or this other list of stuff, with an additional 10% off for DAZ+ owners, no, that's not 30% off total its 10% off the 20%...also these only show up in the shopping cart, but it's broken right now so file a ticket"
