You know, the update has been out since like April, so you don't really need to hide lines and lines of text under spoilers tag
I know. But I also know that there's players who prefer to be left with their own thoughts. Not in a stuck up way, just that they prefer to be surprised, even if it mean they were wrong, over being right because of what someone else said.
That's why I spoilered my thoughts, while everything that was directly coming from the game wasn't.
I thought Siobhan had more of the WTF reaction as to MC's question "Why are you sad?"
This one was to be expected.
I don't remember precisely the lines, but all three expected to find nothing more than some scraps behind this unguarded door that was only standing out because it was recently painted ; or just from another color, not sure right now. Therefore, when you found the second daughter of the Don living in this room, you know she don't have the habit that someone care about her. Perhaps is it her desire to live here and to not be guarded, but even in this case I don't see someone from the family coming regularly to get some news.
And then come a soldato from another family, escorted by two capos ; what is already something unusual. And not only he cared about her, but he did it in the middle of a raid against her family ; "hey, I know I'm in the middle of beating your guys, and that some can come at anytime to try to beat me up, but can we take the time to talk about how you feel ?"
Who wouldn't have a WTF reaction face to this ?
She is literally dumbfounded (probably thinking "WTF is this guy talking about?
),
I don't think it was her thoughts.
Firstly, it's not the habit for a soldato to talk to someone this high ranked. Secondly, if he do it, it's not with such freedom, and certainly not to talk about personal subjects. Thirdly, all this never ever happen when the soldato is from another family, even less under such circumstances.
What puzzled her is that, probably in this order:
- Someone care about her ;
- This someone is a simple soldato ;
- This soldato is from another family ;
- Her, who's part of the intel for her family (believed to be the head of the service) didn't knew that such person exist.
Side note: This give more weight to her "don't blindly believe the intel you have".
That Eiza's sister was here without her knowing it is one thing ; it's not necessary to tell her how the family will make her comply. But that she don't know that there's someone this atypical in the DeLuca family mean that she wasn't in charge of the intel behind his assassination attempt. And this is something totally different.
Even if she isn't (anymore?) the head of the intel, she's still the second daughter of the family, and still good at what she do. Yet she wasn't involved on the investigation regarding the assassination of someone living in the main house of one of the five families ? Only the persons really important live there. Even if it's just a soldato, it's a hit directly on the hearth of the family. And it's not a small family, it's one of the most important and powerful family. You need to plan this really well, because if you fail and your plausible denial don't works, it's the end of your family ; especially in this case, since the DeLuca wouldn't hesitate a single second to take revenge for that the Ombra did to the Carnefice.
When you plan this, you need someone who's good with intel and also fully understand what it mean and imply ; someone like Siobhan.
and Caterina & Amata also both dumbfounded, bursts into laughter (while Siobhan's face becomes red with annoyance/anger).
Here again I really doubt it's what happened. If she was annoyed or angered, she wouldn't have reacted like she did.
Do you really believe that the second daughter of the Ombra family would hesitate a single second to hit a soldato, even if he's from the DeLuca family, if she felt offended ? When Luna shots two guys (from the Fazio ?), they where the ones who apologized, and the family made amends for their behavior.
Of course, there were two Capos escorting him, but at most they would have made her stop before she kill him. Siobhan is a too high target, untouchable without direct orders ; especially during a shadow raid like this one. She know that, the two Capos know that.
Therefore, if it was annoyance or anger, she would have just injured MC, period ; "learn some respect kid ! And you, take it out of my view if you want to get him back in one piece."
No, what Siobhan reaction was is also what made Caterina and Amata laugh: The impassive Scorpion Princess was blushing like a teenager.
