Does it just unlock the gallery or are there cheats for money and such?

even with the bugfix i still couldn't get the promotion event. i bypassed it by changing the variable "promotion1" from false to true.

.As for whether it was rushed or not, I think of it a bit differently.
With Gracie (since she got the lion's share of content in this update I'll address her first), only experience (more like second-hand exp) she had gotten about sex till now (before MC) has been books and weird advice that she's read and has been told.
So when MC begins to expose her to (corrupt her
to ) more and more porn and sex films, we see her getting more and more into it as we go through more of her events (I mean, one scene in hidden camera sees her masturbate when she's alone in her room).And as someone who's never experienced sex before and seeing porn for the first time, learning, I feel it's only natural for Gracie to want to take a step further in her learning (just fingering, touching or kissing acts themselves are no longer enough. It's also shown through that scene where Gracie just becomes bored with watching porn, so MC decides to give her more of first-hand experience with his teachings.
).Now that doesn't mean I think she's a slut, it just shows me she's gotten to a point that she want to learn more, much more.
In a way, I think similar reasoning can be applied to Jaye's scenario from Chasing Sunsets, other than some kisses and Jaye giving that MC a handjob, there really wasn't much left to do from MC's end but to go naughty mode with Jaye in that shower scene. Some may feel it's rushed [cause a lot of the development is with those kisses that came before, and MC's diary story] but I felt that was the only natural direction the story could go to ramp up both MC's Jaye's love & lust for another.
Feels to me, Hopes was in a situation "Don't want Gracie to get right into sex but we still need to up the ante in terms of lewds."
What we saw in the update I thought was a pretty good compromise of somewhere in between (people who want more saucy lewds get their saucy lewds, also people who don't want the girls to act too slutty jumping on cocks still have future sex scenes to look forward to).
Besides, it also has the added boon of[/ISPOILER] motivating Isabel, putting her in a more competitive mood[/ISPOILER]
.And that can only be a good thing.
With Luna, in that handjob scene, MC in a way sort of dares Luna to do it (he likes teasing Luna that way), and several texts of dialogue shows that:

Just as Gracie has been influenced by MC's teachings which initially involved porn videos, films evolving into more of first hand experience (now with cunninglingus & blowjob etc), with Luna it's natural she has to step it up a notch in terms of her daring side (first it was the panties at their Cave date, then showing her backside, raising her skirt to MC at the end of that date, now the handjob).
She's just on more shy side about the whole sexual side compared to Isabel & Gracie, but when given a little push she surprises the MC willing to do the unexpected I'd imagine.
Also, Hopes did say (in one of previous questions) that MC will have full (penetration) sex with all the girls in Season 2.
So in my eyes, I think this is a natural stepping stones for each of these girls until we get to that stage (otherwise, it's gonna be more of just similar cuddling, kisses, fondle, etc repeats. Not that I mind any of those [in fact, I like them very much], but those really won't up the ante that much in terms of lewd content, and I'd imagine continuous buildup is what Hopes probably wanted till we get to the full sex.
A couple of issues for me.
1) Grinding 3000$ is less of a pain if you use Bonanzo Meeting contract. Get your Charisma and Stealth up and the mission is literally: TAB>WEST>TAB>WEST>TAB>NORTH>TAB>NORTH>TAB. Mission complete. Should save you some hair from grinding. Yeah, I'd rather not have to grind at all but at least the dev is aware the req is ridiculous.
2) Saves from before the Ombra mission work but the ones after don't, for some reason. Loading them just dumps you back on the main screen. That is with the bugfix installed.
Biggest issue for me tho is the plot. It seems to be in a complete holding pattern. I like the world and how detailed it is and the long cast of ridiculous and colourful characters and being forced to replay a part of it reminded me how much I enjoyed the banter between them and their almost cartoonish attitudes. But still, and may sister Amata forgive me, Holy shit!
There is: a) Why is Hope relevant and who are his parents; b) Who is Serpent; c) What does Cordia really want from Hope; d) Luna's revenge; e) The reason Cordia doesn't want to involve Grace in the biz; f) Isabel and the son; possibly some other plot lines that I forget. And not a single one of these points moves forward from the last update. Worse; aside from Cordia conceding to include Gracie in the plans from now on and that Uncle is fallible (conveniently fallible, it would seem), we learn nothing we didn't already know in the previous update.
Making games like this (especially when you add the contract portion together with the main story) is really laborious, and how long it took to get this update is a good indicator. Getting the plot points highlighted above to a conclusion is a tremendous task, which is exactly why you should NOT spend most of the time in an update telling us things we already know. Yes, Hope dislikes violence and doesn't care for appearances and still manages to come out on top despite his skills being mediocre. Yes, Gracie is frighteningly smart and so competent at planning that it might be that Cordia isn't protecting her from the mobsters, but protecting the mobsters from her. We knew that. You established it in the freezer mission and that one where Hope saves Luna. Edit- the only other thing I can think of is Hope realising (being told, more like) that he needs to take responsibility in the authorship of missions he's involved in if he wants to stick to his principles, rather than just blaming someone else, but again, that is marginal character development.
Anyway, just me 2c. Joey best girl.

Don't know about the others, but remember seeing in the script that the Blue Dragon one is unlockable on the last Grace quest I sat through, the first of her crew jobs (the burning dustbins one). That job automatically ends once you reach the cell with the last bin, so you have to make sure you've found it before then.

Blue dragon Gracie's is all the way east in the team mission, believe it was middle square of the far right vertical row.

I'm not sure, looks like my saves are messed up at least loading 7.2 saves i have did have all equipment unlocked but my progression in contracts was low.. had some other weird bugs too.. but can't complain all very playable and will probably start over once again heh.

Edit*** as Hopes acknowledged earlier, the grind is annoying for money was an easy fix to just change that variable though
