I plan to start playing the game once the Friendship routes are in the so I don't have to cheat on Luna
but I'm guessing that will be the last thing added at the end of the game

I'm so excited, all the games I was playing lost their fun, I deleted them all.
I'm completely involved with Deluca Family, I love everything about the game, the grind, the shop, the contracts, the girls and most of all the story.
I'm looking forward to the release.

Hope you all are well.
Unfortunately, the goal wasn't met! But, we are now done with the last event.
The last event will be a bit cliffhangery, but it won't linger for long! Will make sense once the update is released.
The last event will give life to a war between families and will really start the family fights.
Season 1 is mc learning a bit about the world and getting used to (and getting attached) the DeLuca Family.
Season 2 will be more war orientated, but also involves politics. Crime politics!
And mc will have a low role at the beginning but slowly getting more involved. Do note that he will have his own crew, and we have already been introduced to a few characters already which will be part of mc's crew. Try and guess who the future subordinates of mc will be! (Gracie and Luna are semi part of the team, but they're too high status to count as mc crew)
Where are we on the release? Right now I want to see if there is anything I need to add on the Lucania intro and finish a bit there. But overall, we are on the last stages. Once I give it to the coder and proofreaders, I'll make an announcement.

Didn't expect to see the Dev post, and a Cordia render dev post.
Not sure releasing before Christmas would be a realistic goal (guess it would depend on how many bugs are found during the beta-testing I suppose), but I do hope we can get it before the New Years.

Heh, here are some batch of questions for ya.
1) In v0.08 update, video/audio recording in Cordia's office heavily implied that both Wilfred & Cordia are aware of what MC has been up to; spying on the Family (whether through camera or audio).
Both argue what to do with the MC - Wilfred stating there needs to be some punishment regarding MC, and Cordia, trying to be more understanding (with how she feels MC is her responsibility).
Will the consequences of MC's actions at the start of season 1 be addressed in season 2? Since both Cordia and Wilfred started talking about it, I think it would feel odd if it's not addressed at some point.
And regarding how the issue is dealt with, I hate to disagree with Cordia, but I have to say Wilfred is right.
Ever since arriving at the DeLuca mansion in the beginning of the game, our MC had never gotten any sort of proper punishment, or had to deal with consequences of his actions (where he is at fault).
He always was either forgiven, or used his sly intelligence to neutralize the fallout.
Him taking the punishment (without trying to make excuses or attempting to use evade it by smarts) I'd say would show strength of his character, and would give him the lesson in discipline that "he can't always escape from the punishment if he does something wrong."
Just my two cents on it though.
2) In season 2, will most (if not all) of the characters who at least have some degree of importance, be revealed?
For example, out of The Four Serpents, so far we know and have seen Gottardo & "Serpent."
Cynthia has been referenced here and there (by characters like Giocabbe, Cordia, Gracie in events) but no appearance, and fourth Serpent, we haven't heard anything about him (not even a reference) or seen him (assuming fourth Serpent is male lol).
Will our MC be able to meet and interact with the other 2 Serpents in season 2?
3) Ok, so we've had out Filius event, but where is our "Everybody being nice to everyone else while revealing (for no reason) where they are from" Day event?
Come on Hopes, I am disappointed in you.

4) I asked you did I think a long time ago, and I do remember you saying (back then) "there will be more."
About DeLucas and their bizarre (well in the other Families eyes, enough to call DeLucas "freaks") way of fighting and their weird weapons (like Gottardo's flail), are they still coming?
5) So crews.
The concept has been introduced from beginning of Straffan event, with Angelo & Caterina both trying to get MC to join their crew.
How does this whole system work in general?
I'm assuming Capos are the only ones who can have crews? Is there a limit to the number of crews they can have?
Or is it more like, "Whatever X number they want, they can have as long as it benefits the Family."?
Also, what would be a general number of crew members that a Capo would have?
6) Wilfred's Division.
How does the system work in terms of Wilfred's Division?
We're told there's Male side of the Division and Female side of the Division (Beach prison event), but are there dedicated specialist sub-units with each side (e.g. female stealth specialist team or male frontal assault unit etc etc?)
7) With Season 2, I remember you suggesting to you change of main menu pic/render (i.e. every season having different main menu page pic, and the old season 1 main menu pic gets unlocked in Gallery when player plays season 2).
You quite liked the idea.
Is that still happening (if so, have you settled on a pic yet)?
8) Kinda related to previous question I guess.
Variant of Sakura Blossom theme has been always used in the main menu, and I like that theme a lot.
Having said that, given you said before you're working with a music artist to have him/her produce some DeLuca original tracks, I actually wouldn't mind a new theme for each season, if it sounds fitting to the game (like Sakura Blossom variant does).
9) What can we expect from the Gallery revamp that will be done?
Can you give us any info?
Just a simple gallery layout revamp or will you be adding some other (possibly new) stuff into it?
10) I'm guessing Season 2 will be a separate download from "The DeLuca Family Season 1 Complete" download, and will import the save file from season 1?
That's the format I've seen most devs use (ones who have multi-seasons or multi-acts game, such as Season 1/Season 2/Season 3, or Act 1/Act 2/Act 3 etc), or am I mistaken?
11) MC hasn't had a get together meal with the Family, since the game's opening Act (where he got poisoned).
Will we see another meal with the Family where everyone is sitting down, and conversing?
That would be lovely.
12) So you've said before that in season 2, MC will spend some time with male characters in same age group as him (which includes other soldatos in the opening act).
Within them is Dominico, which from that opening's impression you're setting him up to be MC's rival of sorts.
Gracie, from the looks of it seems completely oblivious to Dom, though Luna, being involved in the Family business, seems to recognize Dom as one of the up and coming talent (as she quotes Dom during Fawkes' event to Gracie).
Would we see some relationship (and by this, I don't necessarily mean jealousy or love triangle. Could simply be Dom trying to get approval of the girls [while trying to outmatch MC] without trying to romance them, for his own benefit lol) between Dominico and the girls, and how it influences the whole relations dynamic between MC & the girls?
13) Cordia, ah..... Cordia. How we long for you.
When her event unlocks (we're almost halfway, with Gracie getting approval to work for the Family getting sealed in the upcoming update. Other half; Luna & Cordia's reconciliation happening in season 2) in the next season, how many more places would we unlock for free-roam in the mansion?
So far we have 6 places;
- Don's Entrance
- MC's room
- Living Room
- Luna's Room
- Gracie's Room
- Isabel & Antonio's Room
I'd actually be content that with Cordia's path, perhaps 2 or even 1 additional places get unlocked for free-roam.
One of many strengths that DeLuca has (compared to other VNs where free-roam is involved), is that free-roam is kept relatively simple, without the whole hassles of navigations making the whole ordeal clunky (sometimes having to navigate free-roam ends up being a maze lol).
And since it worked well till now, continuing to keep it relatively simple (without going crazy adding too many places) might be the best.
14) I'm guessing MC investigating Antonio (being bisexual) would be one part of Isabel's arc in season 2?
Heh, here is an idea.
How about as one of gameplay mechanics elements, a trip to "Daring Flamingo"? MC can either go by himself, or perhaps characters like Luna, Gracie, Joey, Eiza tags along, and causes mayhem?
15) Wilfred's wine collection. The collection is almost as famous as the man himself.
Given his Wine collection is in awe of people, who especially know and drink Wine, have other Dons or Donnas (who may love wines) ever tried to negotiate with Wilfred in order to gain some wine bottles from his collection?
And with Wilfred, has he ever used his own Wine Collection to make deals for the Family (DeLucas)? Or is his wine collection more of his sacred thing, and only exceptions of him dealing with it are within the Family (for instance, Isabel is shown to have a bottle from Wilfred's collection, which I assume she gave something to him in return, not to mention MC getting a bottle in return for stealing one from another territory [even though he was scammed]).
My assumption is that Wilfred does use his Wine Collection to pull strings in deals, but deals he makes with these other Dons or Donnas, he heavily rigs the deal in his own/DeLucas favor (the price the other Dons or Donnas pay being hefty, hence giving his collection more of a holy grail like aspect to it, since it's so difficult to obtain), but I was wondering your thoughts about it.
16) You said before that we'll see more flashbacks of young Cordia and Wilfred, and how their first meets and relationship buildup (as mentor & apprentice) came to be.
Will we be seeing more flashbacks of Wilfred in his "devil" mode (i.e. like he was in Gildart training flashback) as well (a side we see rarely in current time of the game)?
17) You've said in your recent Patreon post that with season 2, it will be more war orientated, but also involves Crime politics.
Does Crime politics mean Law enforcement like the police (which didn't really come into play in season 1, other than Gracie's references that Cordia has got friendly relationship with Chief of Police) will come more into play, with these Crime Families trying to manipulate the police to their own advantage?
Also, does that also mean more intelligence network factor into the storyline (Family's intelligence network leaking purposely incorrect information to their enemies to gain advantage; the whole subterfuge etc etc)?
18) So, the lore section will still be coming before the Season 1's steam release, as a "mini-update"?
I remember you mentioning the content that might be present in this lore section (such as history; i.e. the Big War, Families' sigils, Family descriptions/traditions, Family's organization structure, Other organizations like Pacificatoris etc etc), but I'm not sure I remember what format players will be access the lore section.
Not sure whether it was you who said this, but I somehow remember it being said somewhere that "Lore" section will be able to access in 2 ways:
- firstly, directly from Main Menu, by clicking the "Lore" option.
- secondly, from within game's free-roam, by MC clicking on a "book" on his bed which opens this section up
Am I correct, or do I have it wrong?
19) Here's hoping we can get some funsie time with the girls in MC's bathroom
and not just the peeking.Though it does leave me wonder, despite the whole peek system being MC's stats dependent, whether there will be times that girls actual catch MC peeking (for story arc reasons, heh).
20) The release intervals for the game have slowed very much compared to the earlier development.
Loved the game till now, and always will (unless you do something crazy, like kill off Luna or something lol), but that's sadly the truth (despite me understanding you're doing this as a hobby and there is that main job you still have).
Your previously proposed "Quicker yet shorter" release format is yet to be implemented.
So is your plan to implement this format when season 2 begins (after season 1 releases, and after game releases on Steam)?

There is nothing that actually says, never mind proves, that he was the culprit.
Antonio killing him off so quickly raised quite a few suspicions about if it was done so fast to prevent him from saying anything...
IDK, he (was it Trino?) could've done the poisoning, but it's not been confirmed.
We have to presume that whoever messed with the brakes of the car, also did the poisoning.
