Uh, no offense but you're incorrect in your assessment of this game and this site (f95zone) in general.
F95zone (a.k.a. the zone) has variety of games on the website; several are porn games yes, but there are also games that have no sex scenes at all like this game
here (it's an excellent game, despite having zero, zilch, nada sex scenes).
So basically, the zone is supposed to have variety of adult games, not just porn.
And as for the definition in general, adult game is a huge umbrella term; porn game is definitely an adult game (it's one of the subsets of adult games), but an adult game may not necessarily be in the porn game category.
Games I'd list in such category would be games like:
- The DeLuca Family (Hopes has said from the very beginning, that his intent for this game was to create an adult game experience for the players, and not a porn game)
- Summer's Gone
- Where it All Began
- Hillside
(there should be more, but those are the titles that I remember).
And just because a game has sex scene in it, I don't agree that it classifies it as porn game.
Seems like a very flawed logic to me.
I think
Cartageno explained it more succinctly than I did (I'll quote his post below):
To conclude, I also don't agree with your cars analogy, and think it should be applied this way;
Let's say for example we have a police officer with his police car and a farmer with a horse truck (don't ask me why I thought of these specific examples, they just came to my mind
).
You have 2 vehicles here, but with very distinct and different main purpose the drivers (devs) will use them as (literally night and day difference). And sure, you might argue "But criminals can still be transported with the horse truck" (lol) but that's not the intended purpose, at all.
Only common factor the two have would be that they are vehicles (i.e. games on the Patreon platform, and in this pirate Adult [umbrella term which includes porn and not-porn games] game websites like the zone).
And with non-porn Adult games, it is much clearer with devs' intent (as Gracie often says in this game, it's the only thing that matters in terms of classification heh).
