Well JJJ messaged Hopes, but JJJ was going on vacation right after. So I’m guessing he isn’t back yet. However you would think that if Hopes saw that message he would’ve showed up or posted something somewhere. Not feeling great about the future of this game right now.

Hopes has a gem here but he’s doing a terrible job at going full time on this game. You aren’t going to pick up support with no updates and horrible communication. Not hard to churn out a progress report every couple weeks. Doesn’t need to be complicated. Something like work continues currently on scene 3 of 6 for the update.

Always amazed that people can fuck up the simplest things.

I dont want to play devils advocate as i hope he's just silently working in the background and we just get the update when its done and ready.

But the only reason to not make at least short quick devlogs is if you dont have any progress to showcase or to little and dont want to deal with the backslash.

I dont mind devs takinga timeout, they are only human too but they should be transparent to their supporters about it and tbh deavtive patreon payments for the time being

But hopefully he will just suddenly surprise us with the update at some point

Finally finished season 1, Fantastic game. Definitely was worth the replay. Now waiting for season 2. Anyone knows when it's coming out?

Favorite main story: I love you my son, cogwheel
Best part of the game: PORTEND
Funniest character event: Gracie's missions.
Favorite side mission: The painter.

It's sucks, but I don't think the game is abandoned. This isn’t the first time Hopes has gone quiet for so long. I remember at one point (Circa 2 or 3 years ago), he went radio silent for like 8 or 9 months. Let's just hope he sucks at comunicating.

Pretty much. Get rid of the mini games and focus on the story. Such a waste of development time with the mini games.... I'll play other games besides AVNs if i want an actual "game".... i just want to follow a good story. VNs are about a story and not about mediocre mini games.

I haven't played the game yet but for me mini games are OK as long as they fit in the story. Being a DIK is a good example, though of course not every developer is that good.

Rather, you should ask that question over on the Recommendations and Identification forum, set up specifically for that. If there isn't already one over there, you can start a new thread. The fact that the best games are always the ones taking more time to develop is unfortunate, but then how would otherwise thousands of overrated, mediocre games have their 15 minutes of fame in the list of latest updates

Except this game has had a very slow development for a long time, I remember the last update being very short and I think it also had 1 year in development.
You can't really compare to BADIK for example where 1 update is as long as this game from start to finish.
I honestly have mixed feeling regarding this game future, for being full time on development, the communication shows that nothing has ever changed and it's still a side project which might never be finished
