The fact that the best games are always the ones taking more time to develop is unfortunate, but then how would otherwise thousands of overrated, mediocre games have their 15 minutes of fame in the list of latest updates

Except this game has had a very slow development for a long time, I remember the last update being very short and I think it also had 1 year in development.The fact that the best games are always the ones taking more time to develop is unfortunate, but then how would otherwise thousands of overrated, mediocre games have their 15 minutes of fame in the list of latest updates
You can't really compare to BADIK for example where 1 update is as long as this game from start to finish.
I honestly have mixed feeling regarding this game future, for being full time on development, the communication shows that nothing has ever changed and it's still a side project which might never be finished

tried it a long time ago, and I absolutely loved the writing. It introduced such a unique worldview. Lis so hot

I mean if you wish I guess you can use a cheat or a mod to make yourself a superhuman
but really I wouldn't recommend it.Some people attempted that, and it pretty much screwed with their saves (it really messed up with the game's variables).
So if you're gonna use cheats or mods, do so at your own risk that you might lose your save file.

i think i reached the Gracie limit for the current version (next event is called Dancing Cloths) but nothing happing

AVN's are not much different than the lottery at this point. Create an initial "hit" and collect a few grand a month from patreon while working your normal job. If you can secure the "hit"... Then once your patreon and normal job supply you with a good amount of money you start to relax... and the development of the AVN priority is secondary. Because you probably have a good amount of people that will pay you monthly for a while, and many will even forget they're still paying. Once people catch on they create a different user name and start over again bamboozling the next creation. Rinse and repeat. I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few talented devs that create multiple initial games and earn another 500 patreons each on different accounts... instead of creating one game that might get to 2000 patreons... I have faith that Hopes is different... This looks like a passion project and not a money grab.

Does it though? look like a passion project? This game was a hit from the start and he knows full well how much people love it. But at some point it has to be enough no? The fact that the updates are so scarce(usually 1 a year... 2 if he really feels like it..) and they are so short when he eventually puts a new version out. The writing is good but, visually this game is just a little above average so there is absolutely no excuse for such long update waiting periods. I personally think he just doesen't care anymore, and hasn't for quite a while. Put out an update a year to shut up and satisfy the patreons and the fans(which are great and just love the world he has created). And at this point i just don't why people defend Hopes so much... Even if you are a massive fan you gotta just doubt all of it a little. There are other games with slow updates as well, but when a update comes you feel like it was worth the wait because there is always so much new content.

Last time i got absolutely roasted for commenting on the fact Hopes might just be an experienced milker. But that was long ago. Now i see people have caught on

Also you're so wrong. Milking is an active activity even, if you only doing cows on a farm. What hopes does, at least from the communictation view point is simple don't give a fuck.
It isn't a smart choice, regardless of his intent. If he want to have a good fanbase and customer, he should communicate and even if he only want to scam people into giving him money for his game, then he should communicate too.

Someone here was supposed to message Hopes. Still haven't seen him pop up anywhere to even give an I'm alive, so funds are being diverted into the Floaty fund for possible eventualities.
As far as milking goes.
That would require a lot more effort. If you want to see milking MattoElias stop by the WVM thread. He takes it to a whole new level, and if you want to bash the Dev there you can borrow my clubs.To be fair if he hasnt deactivated patreon payments despite staying silent all this time, he is kinda milking.
But who cares, i even hope he still makes a bit of money, why else would he get any motivation to continue this? And tbh some people deserve to be milked Thinking he's working full power in silent mode is very very very positive thinking at this point unfortunaly.
I just hope he somehow gets the motivation/drive or whatever is missing back to continue this epic story somehow
