Obligatory: "I am depressed now! Frick you Hopes! I hate you forever"

Yeah, I'll just add to the the choir and say this update really cemented Hopes as one of if not the best writer here. I was a fan after 0.4 but the writing for Luna's backstory in particular was genuinely expertly made. There are a million and one landmines for a story like that, without either making it "oh so edgy" to just crass with gore for gore's sake etc. Instead it was essentially the Deluca setting's version of The Red Room and really served to flesh out her character and in the end the MC.

Again, as of yet, this is not the game for most people if they just want to get their rocks off, but the story is second to none on this site and can't praise it enough.

Since you have previously proven yourself as a man of culture, which is the other game competing for top spot?

Also, since there seems to be some confusion in the comments. While Luna is excellent and only improved in this update, it is scientifically proven that Cordia is indeed best girl. That is all.

Well, it's no secret that I'm a big Heavy Five fan. I heartily recommend this game to anyone on this thread that likes great writing (most of you, then, since you like DeLuca) and a Sci-Fi setting. Just so you know, tho, the game is 3 chapters long so far (out of 10) and there is a big graphic overhaul taking place.

The Gracie movie event does not trigger ... I sent her the movie via email... waited a couple of days ... checked the laptop .. nothing.... no new recordings nothing ever happens ...??!!!!:mad::mad::mad::confused::confused::confused:

I have to say, that I thought much like you about this story at first, and even put it in the recycle bin at one time (I think version 0.03). During a recent time where there was nothing in the Latest Updates page that I wanted to play, I decided to give it another chance (out of boredom), and it gets pretty good for this kind of game.

No spoilers but...

Amazing writing, Hope. I was worried you may have made Luna's backstory a bit ham-fisted and cliche. Giving it a couple of minutes of flashbacks at most. But, I was impressed. You clearly put thought into it and I can't say enough about hos well it was done.

Thank you for giving the option of a shorter version for those who may not be able to handle it. I watched the whole thing, and the warning helped steel me for it but it still hurts to read it. Even brought tears to my eyes, which isn't saying much as I cry at anything remotely sad but, still...

also, the action scenes were awesome, fighting, shooting, sound effects, music, nice job (y)
and the renders looked better in 0.5, i don't know if you are using some new software or something, but they look great :cool: :)
