So, the 300 patrons for making this his full time dream job changed to 500, and now it was removed completely? I mean, many developers patron goals are just lies, but removing it completely, I don't know if that's better?
You're phrased that like I just removed it without saying anything.
Why do some people act like I don't have a patreon page? I shared why I removed it there.
To make it simple;
A random dude- who spends his time doing random stuff such as playing Fortnite and making naughty hand signs to friends- write a little naughty text. He sends out the text and to his surprise, it gets liked and a lot of people start following and wanting more.
He then tries to understand how the whole 'dev' world works and heard that making goals is a sure winner.
300 patrons seemed like a huge number and there must be a lot of money in there (because of
inexperience). 300 came fast and it was far from a huge number. Not even close to minimum wage. Dev then changes it because he doesn't want to remove due to already having it as a goal so he changes it to 500 (because of
inexperience).
When 500 gets closer dev is more
experienced and realize those kinds of goals are stupid, and that he should just do it full time when he feels comfortable.
Point is- you don't start out as an experienced dev. You learn as you go. When something needs to change then you as a dev can't be afraid to change due to some few who will call you a liar and what not.
