This is definitely a great game.
But I don't believe in high-quality games.
It's not the size that a private developer can make.
Most give up.
'version 0.05' in 2019. 'version 0.06' in 2021.
It takes more than a year for the version to go up by 0.01.
Can the ending come out before I die?

Technical, most likely. Yet you would need a mod for this and the mod would, most likely, break savegames between the modded version and the original. And I would wait for next version before doing something.

Perhaps? Life is an infinity sequence of possibilities. So Hope could release the "whole" game tomorrow, could never release an update, you could never see the update, ..... so much possible.

Although I do tend to think that what he is trying to make and the resources he have to achive it are unbalance.
Yet I can't do much about it. It is Hope game and I'm only in for the "ride".

I was just thinking of doing that that, convert the whole game, side stories etc in one Visual novel without changing anything it'll be the same game but pure visual novel, it'll be good exercise for me too. But I don't know what HopesGaming will think about that if he approves I can launch it in couple of weeks.

Count me in as a "rider" as well. If the main goal was only the girl scenes (or girl scenes plus story, so a finished game) then I would be better off waiting until everything is released and I can play the whole thing. This generally saves a lot of trouble with having to replay stuff because of save incompability, having to redo decisions because of mechanics changes, having cliffhangers never resolved because of story changes, having all hopes crushed because of abandonment. (Not all of those pertain to DLF of course, AFAICS only the first does, but they are "along for the ride" experiences I may enjoy less than a finished game).

What's fascinating being along for the ride OTOH is watching something small grow, understanding why some things went the way they did, having actual time to speculate how some elements will develop. Generally speaking also "using the first chance to see something".

The game isn't abandoned, the dev just takes longer to release updates because he doesn't want to release shit.

If he were to answer your good questions would be nice.. But it take time he needs to put out new update (not new update but new game altogether) as I understand!
