I do shed more light onto why MC remembers in part 2, working on this right now actually lol. MC starts to break the control which I call "Corruption"

I also think it stings some people even more because you only see the image if you pass on sleeping with Sasha and Svarin. Which a player would really only do if they were more interested in another girl, which is likely Hailie for many reasons. So, it could feel to some like they were punished for not sleeping with Sasha or Svarin and wanting to wait for the chance to be with Hailie. Hailie, who has then been ruined in their eyes because they only know what the MC knows and that scene (and even the follow up conversation) makes it seem like she is a porn actress and just hiding it (which makes it feel like the player is being lied to by the character which is another negative). It could feel like getting the wool pulled over their eyes. Like, if I was willing to sleep with someone else, I wouldn't be seeing this. Like they are bad players for wanting to wait for Hailie. It possible feels almost like a punishment. Of course, there is more going on, but no one knows that at the time...

Sorry for another post, I'm just working through my thoughts on this because I like Hailie but have mixed feelings about the whole thing. I hope it's like a mind control and she was forced (which is hard for me because I hate rape more than NTR, but at least with rape we can often times get revenge on the bad guys). Or hope against hope, that it wasn't really her. It was maybe a clone or shapeshifter or doppelganger or twin. If it was mind control, then we had better be able to kill the person who did it... and maybe even those two guys who were with her (unless they were controlled too). I hope there is some kind of redemption for it, it's just hard to see past the event and how it could happen without making things even more difficult. For example, if Lin had a hand in what happened to Hailie, then many players will want to kill her as quickly as possible since she facilitated the rape of a love interest. And then any chance of her being brought into the light (which is what I hope for right now) will be gone.

I also can't shake the feeling that it may have happened that night and may have been live streamed or something. Like while we were at the bar with Sasha and Svarin she was at her "other engagement" and got mind controlled and basically raped and if we had been able to go, we might have saved her. Which just adds more negative emotions to the event. It feels bad enough that it seems clear she has been victimized somehow (directly or indirectly), it will be even worse if the MC could have prevented it if the player had been allowed to choose Hailie over Sasha and Svarin. Possible prevented, again, an event which only players who would have wanted to leave those two for Hailie saw.

It's tough because what could work really well in a novel or movie will wreak a game sometimes. I wrote an erotic novel that is a harem story and the whole things kicks off with the main character seeing a girl that goes to college with his sister in a porno and so he has his sister set up a meeting with the other girl just for a laugh. Well, he falls in love with her, finds out she and some other girls are being blackmailed into doing porn, his sister included, and rescues them before his sister goes all the way on camera (though he had seen her on camera giving a guy a blowjob). It works in a novel because no one is self-inserting in the story, the main guy has a name and it is set, the reader doesn't make any choices.

In a VN Game that same story would destroy it because the player would put themselves in the MC shoes, they would feel what he feels. Not just feel empathy for a character in a story but take on the feelings *of* the character in the story. They wouldn't just feel bad that the MC had to see that, they feel bad that they saw it.

Once again: Sorry for rambling, it's just how I process things once they are in my mind and dealing with this is very much occupying my thoughts at the moment... I just need to get them out of my head. Still, I wish you the best and will be sticking with the game for at least the next update then to see where it's going, but you've kind of put yourself in a tough spot with this. I hope you pull it off because it could be really great if you do.

Hell the only reason I am even on F95 is because covid, else I would continue having multiple trips per year with my wife to Thailand for "reasons" and scuba diving. That wasn't very constructive, only the end was useful.

Planned tags are extremely useful in attracting the right audience for your content.
Also alleviates content criticisms somewhat because of prior disclosure which is helpful for thread sanity.
The author should know the story therefore will know what tags will be in the game, if they don't it rarely ever will be a good game anyway.

Self inserters consume media very differently to non self inserters which can be good or bad.
If I like something I really like it, if I dislike it, I really dislike it.
I don't consume other media the same way like books and movies, just these types of games for some reason which makes me extremely picky about them.

The author has knowledge of the plot in total whereas the player only has the information that has been presented to them.
This can be a problem because you may have a redemption ark planned out in entirety and it can make sense knowing the full story. But that's not what the player sees at all.
First impressions are often lasting impressions and due to the periodic nature of game updates we can not just continue the story to get over it and get to the reasoning behind it.
If left with a niggly point it will often lead to speculation which often goes to dark places.

Therefore it can be better to be a bit more ambiguous rather than explicit with this type of plot point.
Does a LI have a sexual past? Sure they probably do, do I want to see a flashback or photo of it? Absolutely not!
Some people might want that which is where once again accurate tagging is important for attracting the right audience for your story.

Yep ! the story is boring as fuck and the fuck is boring like the story !!
All the girls jumping on the MC for no reason but the need to organise a quick fuck very soon.
In the first 10 minutes of the game you get a long list of girls to fuck and you already fuck some.
So the writing is set to the minimum, the fuck scenes are done in 2/3 images and hop we go to the next one.

Some people like this, i just hope they don't fuck the same way at home !!!

Apart from the obvious trolls... I do read and listen to you guys. However, if you simple demand or say I fucked up on a LI... I will laugh at you. I have several girls here. I don't offer a harem. So... choose another one ‍♂ You will see and hear their stories. If you choose them, you will find more. the whole Hailie scene if it is her in that scene and not a twin and she is a LI it is stilll Ntr no matter how much you try to tell us diffferently. People will always see it at that and will just right her offf as an LI best choice is is to not add those kind of things in a game that is not marked for Ntr.

I thought I saw a post form you that made it sound like this was a harem game, I looked back and realized I may have been mistaken. My brain sometimes doesn't work at 100% I guess, . I have reset my expectation somewhat for the story and my brain is rethinking some things, but I will spare you the craziness of my autistic mind for the time being.

I'm fine either way about it not being a harem. While harem games are my favorite, I do enjoy many non-harem games as well. I very much enjoyed the first parts of this game and that's why I'm theorizing and speculating about it. You should see my notebooks that go back almost 30 years for the Song of Ice and Fire series of books filled with things about that story. I'm a total nerd, and a little insane,

And as a writer for over 25 years, I sometimes go off into the weeds about story points, character designs, plot hooks, and pit falls. I'm sorry if I said anything that made you feel like I was judging your quality as a storyteller. That was never my intent, and you seem to be a good one.

I hear that about it being hard for your own story. You know what's going to happen so it can be hard to see what others might *think* is going to happen.

I once had a friend proofreading a story of mine and he came to me asking when I was going to kill a character off because he hated him. The character was my favorite and I had planned a redemption arc for him, but I had made him too unlikeable early on. I realized people wouldn't give him a chance after all he had done and would rather the character just die, . Luckly, because the story wasn't done, I was able to do a rewrite of his character and my friend ended up loving the redemption story. Unfortunately, a publisher bought it and has been sitting on it for over two years without releasing it and apparently, they can just keep it unpublished forever if they want. Needless to say, I fired my agent and that's why I plan to self-publish from now on and why it's taking so long to get anything going for the VNs I want to make.

I'd hate to see you abandon the site or thread and stop interacting with people here because of negativity perceived or real.

Regarding the planned tags and to a large extent the same thing can be said for those who judge the game off the comments; there is a reason for this. People don't like to invest time in games when they don't know what to expect. Especially with certain kinks and detesting those kinks. They don't want to risk running into something they hate when reading planned tags or the comments lets them avoid it. I don't know when you added the planned ones, but players and potential supports like to know what's in the pipeline before investing.

Regarding Hailie, there are a lot of factors. Firstly you are the only one who knows what the truth behind the situation is, the players can only theorise based on what they've seen so far. It's a flaw of the periodic release, when a bad situation is introduced and the player has months and months to stew on it. You might have a perfectly legitimate explanation of that scene and why it's not ntr or whatever but by the time the player gets that information it's too late. They've had months of negative thought on it and nothing you reveal will change that for a lot of people.

Secondly there has been a rash of new developers doing something similar to what happened here. They promise or say they won't do ntr, then proceed to show a potentially / possible ntr scene and have some reason why it not. An example is a game where the mc was chosen to go to some town full of women and impregnate them all. The sole purpose of him going there was to impregnate the women and in the first release the dev shows one of the LI (his childhood friend I think) fucking some asshole who's cheating on his girlfriend and the same asshole was also the dude who impregnated one of the other women that the mc was supposed to. This is in the very first release when he also said no ntr. The point is, people have been burnt by dev's, intentional or not so some frustration is around.

Hailie might not have been a LI at the time the video was made, or might never be if it's not a harem, but you have ruined her for those who hate the kink because regardless what you say, to them it is. Her being drunk and raped or forced or desperate or having no choice or a changed person or whatever you have in mind to explain it won't undo that damage, again remember the player has had months to stew over it.

Also consider your comments and the replies you've given and it appears like you're changing the story over time. Someone commented that she did porn and your reply to that made it look like you confirmed that and he was right. Then you ask a bit later "where did I say she did porn". Also if I recall correctly you said after the intro, it would be explained in the next release, then the next release comes and you say she explains she can't talk about it now, delaying that explanation. Sounding like it's being delayed for another update at least. Maybe with the frustration and multiple posts the narrative is a little distorted and I'm not understanding it correctly, but that is how I understood it.

Finally people are just lazy, most of them won't read the entire thread or search but will come and ask the same questions or post the same things that have been said already when they discover something the first time so you will get a lot what appears to be trolling and negativity simply because they're too lazy to search for the answer or if you've already acknowledged their "complaint".


Anyway I wish you luck with the game and thread. Hopefully you'll have success.
