It's great to have lots of paths that branch out in totally different directions...but you can't expect development to be fast for those types of games. That's a really important tradeoff.

Honestly if Kath didn't act so out of character hell i think the cheating was to rushed and out of character too but that would be forgivable to give the NTR fans something if Kat didn't act out of character prior to that. Hell if the dev didn't go out of his way to not include NTS scenes would of been a bit more forgivable.

Again, I haven’t played the updates so I’m just guessing, but I wonder if it’s one of those situations where by the time you realize the problem it’s too late. Sometimes you got what you got. Fixing it would take months and you definitely can’t do that. Sometimes it’s better to make the mistake and move on and do something better next time.

Yeah I mean as long as NTS isn't abandoned in updates after this one I will still love this game and I will just pretend the NTR bits from this update don't exist cause to me even with the drugged water doesn't make sense with how it happened.

The dev of this game has honestly turned into a trash human. Posted on itch, he instantly deleted my comment but leaves up all the comments praising him, applauding him for NTR. Thing is these fans don't care about the story or relationship as long as they can get their rocks off, when all we want is a choice here, and dev doesn't even care about the game anymore, just money.

I would say I hope this game fails now, but it won't, the NTR fanboys will fund him whatever he wants, he will accept cause he is a shill that doesn't really care about his fans or his other supporters who are in minority, cause I guess not enough money.

Its things like this why I don't really support many devs, cause at end of the day, a lot of them are trash like this one turned out to be.

yeah it would be better to check back next time it updates. Cause I think that will truly determine if this was a one time thing to give NTR fans something or if the direction is actually changing to NTR.

Being an adult vn dev gives you thick skin after a while". Pretty fair to say that yep, he's giving a massive FU to the NTS fans because he's getting $ from NTR enjoyers. I've nothing against NTR as a genre, but cases like this where devs turn into whores and compromise their stated goals and do a 180 in their games for a few extra bucks absolutely shit me. And I'm guessing since he's talking tough about negative feedback, Franklin putting in the tip behind Luke's back might have been a metaphor. Tip of the NTR iceberg. If Luke didn't go out with Pat & Kath, she's open to visiting the neighbour to get info on her own. Gonna be another NTR fest there for sure.

I mean you can avoid the cheating all together and avoid the restaurant argument by having Luke not go. Then the biggest issue (apart from the shitty overused AI animations) is the update being a huge nothing burger apart from a blowjob scene.
So if he were to course correct and make the next update more NTS focused then it could be possible I guess.

Though like I said earlier, the supporters that he is trying to pander to at the moment to get their money, will expect more and more cheating and corruption. Corruption of not only Kathryn but of their relationship as well. They are also not going to want Luke to be aware or even have the chance to be turned on by any of it.

Wow, I absolutely 1000% agree with everything you wrote and its also why if I do support a dev I do it update by update and as soon as it starts being crap I stop and never support the dev again. I also blame both the players and the dev. People will support a dev that stands by what THEY initially intended for their project and not some sniveling coward who uses polls / money to determine the direction of their game.

Its fine to ask players for feedback but don't use that feedback alone for the direction of the project. I blame players for only ever wanting NTR as though no other type of game is enjoyable and while I do like NTR myself their are far too many out there and not enough that aren't.

Well, Chapter 9 will obviously come out, as we all know, and April 19, 2026 is just a new chapter and 6 months of work, and if earlier, then it will be global warming or cooling, whichever you prefer, ahahaha.

I'm more interested in when the game will be released on Steam, what kind of criticism and everything else will be falling or being lost? And I think he said in the Dev Blog that the game will be on Steam in the fall of 2026.

But this just became interesting to me, this will definitely happen if I don’t meet Pat, and the fact is that I’m too lazy to go through this whole game again from the beginning, I have no desire, if this will definitely happen, I would take a look at it.

My point is not difficult to see, Bobby is a sellout. It is very clear with this update. The characters act drastically different than in the 7 chapters before, even an all-around a... as Nathan. In the early chapters Nathan was clearly amused by Luke, even liked him a bit (even if he still wanted into Kati´s knickers), now he suddenly hates Luke and with absurd reasons.
The ending of the update is hardcoded towards NTR. It is glaringly obvious that Bobby now only caters to the NTR fans, there was nothing for the love and sharing/swinging paths.

yeah I mean id probably still pick it up on Steam even if I dislike the rest of game from here on out just because I loved the first 7 chapters of the game so much. Used to be I couldn't wait for Steam so I could show support as that is my preferred method now unless things change my mind im more of the mind set I get it whenever. But yeah seeing the Steam criticism would be interesting if things don't change for the better

The sharing has very much turned into NTR, I'm sure they'll have to do some bizarre re-working of personalities to make it seem like they're still technically a couple, because the NTR guys need there to be that angst feeling, but it's lost all sense of believability.
