I did everything but the boss rush on Hard, stay malding. Anyone whose main point of reference is DORK SOLES can be safely ignored on game balance and design.
Yeah, the thing is a crazy hard bosses isn't uncommon in Japanese games, from the original Ghost n Goblins classic platformer to ridiculously over powered King of Fighter many bosses or even the many bullet hell shooter games. And yet MILLIONS of people across the world can beat that, arcade game business booming everywhere (particularly in Asian market, years ago obviously) and nobody complaint about the hard bosses (except for parents who angry their kids spent so much time in arcades lol).
The thing is bosses are designed to be HARD, they designed to create fear and despair, they seemingly doesn't have weaknesses, they don't designed to be balanced, they're designed to be UNBALANCED, favoring the bosses themselves, not the player.
It's the task of the player to LEARN the match, searching the weakness, learn the timing, follow the pattern TO BEAT the boss.
Todays casual gamer is just a whiney people demanding their game to be served on a silver plate. They'd rather complain with thousands of words filled with jargons to justify their inabilities to be more patient and focused.
What's the most funny of them all is that Holy Knight Ricca's game isn't that hard, it is CHALLENGING yes, but NOT HARD. like, at all lol. All the bosses have very glaring weaknesses that you can spot it easily, and you have so many skill and crystal to help that it's so obvious that the devs doesn't want you to suffer, giving over powered crystal right from ver. 1.01. And people still complaining. Big lol.
