I will just wait for the dev to decide to get out of the closet or not about the NTR as someone said.

Since its 7 chapters and if each release is a complete chapter prefer to wait for it to be completed to not get any unpleasant surprise.

If anyone was threatening, hurting my family and sleeping in the same house as me the plot would be solved very easily, if i couldn't fight him directly I would just kill him in is sleep, would prefer going to jail then let me family suffer like that.

I don't remember what page it's on, but the Dev replied to me with a VERY clear message about possible future NTR which is that the only character with the possibility to be NTR'd is the mother character, if you choose it. Big John doesn't even touch her anymore (NEVERMIND, according to Dev, this is no longer the case cause he decided to add a scene where she's giving him a handjob ), but if Big John tried to do it again, you could stop it from ever starting.

Though, I don't know if I agree with your assertion that it's easy to simply get rid of big John if you were in their shoes. The thought is: "If I was in his shoes I would do this..."

No you wouldn't. All people are ruled by what the world has done to them. Not every person is willing to stand up. If YOU were in the position that the MC was, you wouldn't be the same "you." You'd be a different version of yourself shaped by the world of Linda, Big John and everyone else. You would have the same fears, the same hesitations and the same general thoughts. Not to mention the horrible situation of somehow making it worse, should you fail, or even go to prison for murdering him. Your family could also become destitute and maybe even Big John's cop brother or whatever it is in this story would come and make your life hell.

I agree that it's frustrating to see people be weak. But again, people are weak for a reason. They've been beaten and hurt. They've had horrors stop them from doing what they should do. Many people in abusive situations are able to rise against the force that caused them pain, yet still more are never able to do it. Especially not without help. It's like talking to women about her husbands abuse. It won't be easily solved by saying, "why don't you leave him." The complexities boggle the mind about what a damage person sees as rational and clear headed thoughts.

That said, this story seems like it'll get on an upward curve sooner than later. The MC is gonna get back at that Big John asshole and help heal his family!

Yeah, I was abused by my uncle when I was 6-8 years old. It still affects how I relate to the world some 55 years later. Thankfully less than it used to, but some scars don't easily go away.

Yes, abusers usually work to undermine the strength and confidence of their victims. Big John did this by keeping her doped up. They put their victims in a state where they are less afraid of the abuse (often convinced they deserve it) than they are of being free (or trying to be free and failing; receiving the punishment for such an attempt).

Yes, the whole story seems to be about the MC finding his strength to do what he needs to do to protect his family.

Linda is not a girl, she's a grown ass woman with kids. She already has her reasons for letting Big John do things to her. Unless MC does something to change that, it could continue. Does she like it? No. Does she allow it to get what she wants from Big John? Yeah. Will it continue? Make the right fucking choices and it'll stop. Or, maybe you don't want it to stop. Make the choices for that. Will you see that shit going on? No, I don't think so. I don't want to say never, but I really can't think of the scenario where that scene would be necessary.

Welp, that didn't last long. Apparently there would be no need to show such a scene, but you go and add it anyway?!? Like, what? You say it's imperative to show what's going on? Can you PREVENT it? By the way, it is NTR by definition that it is a Love Interest. The jealousy part is only a non-factor if the MC is okay with this. If he's NOT okay with it, it is NTR.

I'm not saying I'm not okay with the story being dark. Including having Linda be a martyr in the background, but you can't say, "I'm pretty sure I'll never show it" to "guys, remember what I said I'd never do, well, I'm doing it." To me, the intention of telling and showing is VERY different. If you're showing it in game, it's content. It's no longer a plot point. It's something you want the audience to get a reaction. If it's Rape/NTR/Coercion, then to me, that's shit.

Don't show, unless you're willing to embrace it. Since you said yourself that this isn't the direction you want to take it, what's gonna stop you from adding a billion more of these scenes, that, ONCE AGAIN, you said You'd probably NEVER show.

Which path to choose. The scene with Sam was sweet and was my favorite for story telling. Mom was the choice for maximizing points (but was the creepiest of the three), Lucy gave you a lewd. Three different goals. Nicely done.

Exactly. The uncle who abused me was bullied in school, and he continued to make bad decisions which destroyed his aspirations to become a chef. Instead, he ended up serving prison time for dealing drugs. As tough as it was on me, I am thankful that at an early age, my empathy remained intact and I did not pass the abuse on to others.

Those are tracking your alpha and beta points which are earned depending on choices you make throughout the game. Some choices will close and others will open based on your points. Some character interactions will also change based on your points.
