he technically doesn't remove the freewill it is talked about when the get to the mansion. He just states that you love me and you will listen and trust me. He got to know them before he made them slaves so he likes them to have some of themselves. Unlike the Dr. that just wants poontang, and to rule the world, just for himself. The MC isn't much different from James bond or any other guy that has the natural charisma that charms women.

I think that it should be pointed out that the "influenced" ones feel some kind of unease, when the MC orders them to do something against what they really wish. For example, I think that Fiona did not want to actually dump George. That would explain why she felt a bit dizzy when the MC orders her to do so. The doubts and the unease dissapear as the influence over her is increased.

They "liked" him in the sense that he was decent looking and seemed to be a nice fellow. They never even knew him that well. If they knew this fucker would mind control them, they would definitely not like him lol.
Lets be real. This is a game about making slaves with mind control. Sure, its fine if the MC wants to be relatively nice to his slaves, but all the feel good nonsense about being the best person you can be was pretty cringy, at least to me.
Well, that was awful... Tons of dialogue and some cheesy love story, barely anything sexual and worst of all the protagonist is now mr saviour of mankind goody two shoes(or at least pretends to be). Whats the point of mind control fantasy if he wont abuse his powers? Now hes acting like hes some kind of coach and turns girls into "better versions of themselves".

I do agree with you. Its very hypocrite of him to think that he is better than Mindlos, just because he let his slaves to retain their personality and he treats them well.
He has removed those women of their free will and self judgement. They will either never go against his wishes or do something he will dislike.
However, they may be forced to do things that they would not like if their common sense had not been overwritten.
I cannot see anything good in this.

For this part of the story change, it could simple be: Patreon don't like the classical "hard route" mind control theme and they has change it to favour Patreon. Of course I don't know the TOS of Patreon in detail and don't know how the "Patreon Police" works, but this could be a reason for the change to the "nice" "mind control" variant they use.
If this is true, then "hard route" mind control game can't be on Patreon anymore - and perhaps not even a full dozen click on the "yes, I know it is against Patreon TOS, but do it" field would change it.
For my taste, I can live with it at the moment. Hope it has more sexual content in the future releases and more of them favourite the overall theme. If the all go for "nice & happy" happy story/sex then some, if not all, appeal of the game is gone for me.

I am not sure if someone answered your question. To get around the issue, open the console and type minc = False just before the point you have the issue.
To open the console you need to press SHIFT O. You also need to enable the console. Replace the file 00Console.rpy in the game folder
C:\your initial path name here\TheGiftReloaded V0.05\renpy\common.
FYI, I changed line 108 in the .rpy file (script-text file).
