I guess that the early parts of the game from 2020 in coding and writing do not fully consider the later system of many different (exclusive) LIs and different paths.

The intro from 2020 focuses on mc, Susan, Katie and Todd, so it starts with a balanced group of 2 males and 2 females.
The Good Son is an erotic game where the main character - a young man in his last year of university - is asked to pay off the mob in order to save his father. To keep up with the mob's ever increasing demands for cash, he'll have to get creative - and creative means crossdressing as a woman in order to work as a waitress in a nightclub! What comes next is a gradual progression into a new, feminine, and submissive way of life. His life will forever be changed through the guidance and support his cheerful and talented supervisor (Katie), his gorgeous and empathic girlfriend (Susan), and his incredibly kind and well-built best friend / personal trainer (Todd).
"a new, feminine, and submissive way of life" does not sound gay, it's more like femdom triggered by forced crossdressing (and a strange unvoluntary first unnoticed kind of hormon therapy). This has effect on mc's relationship with Susan and Katie (and Todd).

As I mentioned in a post above there are a lot of tags missing in the game description :
femdom, sex toys, lesbian, ntr (cuckolding), bbc, (small penis) humilation, (pseudo) sandbox, breast growth, penis shrinking, trap, trans protagonist, prostitution, ...
probably also : "drugs" (hormones) (something must have caused mc's body transformation and the house mc lives in is owned by the bad guys.) and maybe later "female protagonist" and "pregnancy" if mc can do a full transition. (Todd seems to have a pregnancy fetish which seems strange for a gay character.)

(I have not yet completed the main story, so full transition is a speculation. I think I remember the drug reveal or speculation about it from an earlier version. Maybe I mistake this with another game.)


The relationship with Susan has lots of options and content : break up, loose her to a white alpha male or a BBC (cuckolding), true love with many dates and events, threesome with best friend (Todd), meet her mom, etc.
If this game is supposed to be focused on gay relationship, why have lots of content with a "gorgeous and empathic" cis-female girlfriend and even the option to invite your best friend / gay lover to fuck your girlfriend in a threesome? This game has a wider focus on "bisexual" content, it's not exlusive gay.

I think you're debating a strawman, because that's a claim made by no one, but you. The person you've initially replied to was talking about "a sissification/feminization game that is DEFINITELY focused on it", with "it" being sissification/feminization. Which is certainly true, this is the context most of these 4600 images you mentioned is used in.

Susan is one of the mentioned 2 (out of 14) characters who has some content that can be classified as "straight". But she's an (early game) exception to what the game focuses on overall. Certainly nowhere near claimed 80%.

Primary Characters : mc, Katie, Todd, Susan, Nazarov

So it is still 2 females (Susan, Katie) and 2 males (Todd, Nazarov) next to mc.


The "gay" discussion started since gay events with Todd are unavoidable unless you want an early bad ending, so the dev forces this content on the player early on. This does not make much sense storywise. Furthermore when content is blocked by a lack of gayness and by a too high hetero stat, then the ingame hints are misleading ("This is too girly for me.")

The game content is distributed between contacts of both primary and secondary categories. And at this point the primary characters don't get all that larger share than secondary ones.

Even if you limited your focus to primary characters, you have 2 women and 2 men, plus TS MC. This alone should be enough to realize the claim of 80% straight/lesbian content is completely absurd.

As mentioned before : the 80% referred to visual content = images in game folder.

Regarding the scenes (writing), I probably missed a lot of gay content by not breaking up with Susan, not dating Todd and turning down random cocks.
When Katie was transferred to Russia the game turned into a more repetitive routine with Susan dates and earning money. This changed after ca 200 days in the game when Katie returned and started all the Nazarov events, including a ton of unavoidable MM/TS story events, shortly before Katie fucked up and triggered a bad ending. (Her progress counter was stuck between 0/100 and 10/100.)

Dating Katie was underwhelming due to lack of variety of (date) events and the fact that dating Katie forced a break up with Susan effectively removing her from the game. Todd quit only a few days before, taking Olivia with him.
MC works with Katie 3 days a week but those events didn't change enough to reflect that mc and Katie now are intimate friends. Considering how much time mc and Katie have spent together since start and that transforming mc is kind of pet project for Katie, one would expect to have more options with Katie earlier in the game. (I vaguely remember a story that Katie secretly accessed mc's apartment (owned by the Cauldron) and drugged his food with hormons to transform him, but I haven't found this info in current playthrough. Maybe the story is from another game.)

"The Good Son" seems to be an Anti-Harem game ... gain too much love points with one character and loose all others LIs and friends ... which removes a lot of variety from the weekly cycle.

A general critique on the dating system :
Why have only 1 timeslot per week to meet with bf/gf? Shouldn't the LIs and friends have their own locations mc can visit as in other games? Sure, there are random encounters at the campus or when jogging on Saturday, but this doesn't feel like a relation when it is mostly out of control for mc to see each other except for the date time slot once a week.

Indeed, you have missed a lot of gay content by deliberately avoiding gay content. But then i hope you can agree that, due to such avoidance, your assessment of the exact nature of the game's content comes from a rather uninformed position..?

I largely agree with your impressions of the dating system etc. For what's worth, some of the LI routes can be combined (Todd and his father, or Lexi with just about anyone, e.g.) but generally the routes are pretty limited, content-wise, and reduced to just a few events. It's sad, but pretty normal for sandbox games.

I had played an earlier version of the game some years ago, probably when the content was around the first 100 days. At that time there was a balance between MF and gay content and gay content seemed avoidable.

I started a new game to not miss new additions in the early game, so it took a while to play the 200+ days to reach the mid or end game. Now with all the unavoidable main story mob content (maledom, gay, slavery) I have to revise my earlier impression ...

It would be good if the dev would play the whole game from start to end-of-content once or twice again to get a feeling how the pacing of the current game, the relationships, the transformation, money earning and spending, etc is.

The game has a lot of content for different tastes, but it is to a large degree grindy and repetitive. It takes ca 30-40 weekly cycles to reach end-of-content unless the player chooses an early ending.

The mob blackmail with weekly increasing costs adds almost nothing to the game since the player has to follow the mandatory main path of becoming gay/bisexual and work as waitress anyway. It's just a repetitive weekly event with crude numbers. I wonder if a different approach with just telling the player to pay a total of maybe 100,000 $ + 1% interest per week in self-determined rates would be more fun. This would also avoid the case where new players now fail to earn enough money in the first week and are removed from the game with a bad ending or would temporarely deal with the late game case where players accumulate like 50,000 $ extra cash and have no options to spend it. (Since the mc's income increases while he progresses in the game, there probably will always be situations where mc has too much money which cannot be spent.)

Replaying the game felt strange, especially Katie's story. She is eager from start to turn mc into her female clothed pet-waitress, slaps his butt, strips naked for him ... and then it takes like 100 days for them to have a single lewd scene when mc steals the key to his own chastity device and then she is removed from the game for about another 100 days (maybe to not have to have more lewd scenes with her yet) before she finally returns to have some scenes with mc as part of the latest/late game content.

Katie's demands on mc to increase cross-dressing are mostly reasoned by 3rd party ... It would be more plausible if there would be kind of a "sexy waitress" rating effecting the waitress-money and tips. Each cross-dress-stage like shaved legs, sexy underwear, stockings, high heels (!!! missing!!!), extras like boobs (natural or augmented), make up, etc would increase rating and earning step by step. Depending on feminity rating Katie could have a list of new talk options and mc could pick one per work event. This would avoid unusually crowded events like demanding 3 changes (makeup, nails, buttplug) in one turn.
Katie could actually also suggest the chastity cage for mc as a device to wear shorter, more sexy, mini skirts without a visible boner to get a higher rating. (And she could exploit the cage ...) (To connect with current content of "chastity key heist", the boss would somehow have to take the key from Katie.)
Olivia could coach mc to get a more feminine, sexy body shape by regular workout at the gym.

Katie and Susan are both studying at the university. There are a lot of gender and femdom themes in Ms Domina's class, so the three woman should actually have the option to team up against mc. It feels strange when Ms Domina talks about stuff like face sitting, pegging, etc and then it takes hundreds of days to finally get these themes in the scenes with Susan or Katie in the game.
Early scenes with Susan miss a lot of options. Once mc starts to act strange and crossdress, Susan could talk with Ms Domina for advice, eg when she may notice that mc wears her (Susan's) panties or a chastity cage or buttplug at date night, etc ...
Once mc no longer can satisfy Susan with his dick, she could ask Ms Domina for help and mc could try other means like using his hands, tongue, sex toys and watch porn with her instead of letting her go home to watch porn alone.

For a game of 30-40 weekly cycles the current policy of dating only one person feels wrong. There simply isn't enough content for any dateable character in the game yet for 30-40 weeks. Therefore it would be best to allow mc to befriend and date all the characters at will to have at least more content in a single playthrough. Susan felt to be the character with the most dating content, but her content is divided into separate routes like true love, threesome (with Todd), cuck story (Chad) and BBC (Oliver). Instead of locking the Susan relationship on one of the four paths, it would be better to allow the mc to switch from one path to another midgame to have more available content for the 30-40 dates, similar to the current cheat menu. (Actually not all of Susan's date events seemed available via cheat, especially those when mc dates Susan+Chad or Susan+Oliver seemed missing and only those when mc dates Chad or Oliver directly were available.)

its annoying paying more and more money and is the dad even relevant in the story ?
