The problem is that it is a completely different game, with a different way to play it, a different way to tell the story and a different approach to the very general topic of continuing on after the end of the world.
IF you want and expect this game to be the same as Now & Then you are doing the game a disservice and judge it unfairly.
There are many instances where I find comparisons as you mention them perfectly fine, but if a game is so base-line different to the previous work of the creator, judging it against that doesn't make a lot of sense.

Still, I would be fine with it, if someone just writes he liked the other game better and wanted another straight up VN, the problem comes with the claims that this game is worse, because it isn't told in the same way and doesn't have the same characters.

Eh, I just disagree. I just dont think the story is as captivating as the last game, and I dont think any character are as well constructed as any of the girls in N&T. Has nothing to do with a different style.

I just dont think this story which boils down to a dude fucking girls problems away is as interesting as what N&T gave us, even if it followed a tried and true plot device and wasnt hyper original.

I expected the same level of character depth and story telling and I dont think it came close, I didnt expect the same style of game.

I noticed that sometimes the character cutscenes seem out of sync with where I am on certain routes.

I think the original intent of the dev was that each of the women's routes was played at about the same rate.

Now, with the AVN all but completed (one final rev to go - think of it as additional epilogue/other scenes and some bug fixes), there are bugs that occur if some women are advanced well ahead of the rest.

If you play all of Robin's content before building a relationship with Tina, Sammy and Marisa, who shows up to help the MC get Robin out of her dad's grip where he is being physically abusive to her?

If you play all of Saaya's content in the beginning (before building a relationship with Selene) and send her on - I don't see the 3sum with Selene happening.

This would have a ripple effect into the post interim moments, like the one with Selene where she comments that Saaya had the best tits she had ever seen.

There are many of these scenarios where the paths are intertwined and I'm sure the dev has more bug fixes to find/fix.

The monthly dev cycle was a major handicap to any full sweep to fix all of these types of bugs.

Now that TID is no longer bound by the monthly dev cycle, Kinderfeld can take the time he needs for bug fixing and not worry about it impacting the dev cycle for TID.

TOXICity will be the major focus going forward and TID work will be fit into that monthly dev cycle where Kinderfeld can.

Sorry fanboy moment, but damn. Out of all the AVN's, Now & then is my #1, and following it Interim was right behind it as a hard second. Both have gut punched me in some way or another to actually feel something.

I feel like everything just placed together so perfectly upon that revelation

The game has the completed tag, all the endings are there. There is slated to be a directors cut 0.99 or 1.0 at some point as there was with the other game.

How is this shit amazing? if it's a movie in cinemas or theaters I probably would agree but it's an adult game and the purpose is to satisfy our sexual needs, how am I suppose to enjoy and be satisfied with banging the dead/ghost LI who has no idea that the world has ended and they are already dead. If you can't find the Mira or Allison endings, then there is a critical choice you missed earlier in their story.

I missed one Mira/Alison story moment and restarted about 100 days earlier so that I could make the right choice - the one that let me follow Mira home and advanced the story for both of them.

The easy option is to go to the gallery and unlock all scenes then play both the Mira and Allison endings from there.

The other option is to use the walkthrough and figure out which earlier Allison/Mira story you missed, go back to a save before this story choice and replay TID from there.

I enjoyed my replay when I went back - it changed the nature of the story as I was able to play multiple stories for each of the women as I advanced the main story - so I felt it was more immersive.

This gave me a more satisfying TID experience compared to playing the monthly content every month.

Whichever route you choose, GL and enjoy!

Exactly besides this is all an awesome fantasy story and the necrophilia comment from that member I ignored after saw the remark, really? Is it necrophilia romancing and fucking LI's that are lively and having feelings and emotions in a fantasy setting? How come some people get so ignorant baffles me, I should have reported that member for fake "kink shaming" but it is ignored anyway, well fake because it is far from that kink.

Yep this game gets greatly improved following the walkthrough that is in the OP, I used also URM just for an extra help but that is me that am a bit "mod addicted" .

That's what make the game ridiculous too, speaking of ghost, how a spirit or a ghost has sexual organ and feelings of lust knowing that they don't have physical being anymore because they are already dead

I found the game quite good (albeit the now and then VN its a tier above it in my opinion)
Mc was quite good and the stories of different LIs where interesting ,some where very good and some ok.
I loved Mira though and in end i chose her. but i also run few more endings with other Lis.
The thing is that This Vn gave some some bittersweet feelings especially with the LIs i liked because i knew that they where dead and i have to let them go in the end of their stories , although i was expecting something will happened in the end while MC create the new world.
Even so in the end we had to choose one LI so the bittersweet feeling remained especially because this VN its not like other VN,
in this VN we had to play the stories of all Lis so in a sense we learned about them and become closer with them but in the end we could only choose one and this made it harder to make a choice and not think about other LIs.
Moreover except 3 lis the rest didnt have memories of MC .. so even though MC started the world again and turn the time back most of lis had other lovers before meet MC again... (personally i didn't like that but thats my personal taste in this matter)
While Mira and Apollyon had memories and remained loyal while searching for MC. ( i liked that fact)
and i loved their stories though i didnt like the fact that they both met MC after college so their where around 24 years old and basically they met again after 7-8 years ... thats too much time skip in my opinion they could have met after high school around 18 that would be much better (in my opinion)
i wish we had a throuple option with Mira and Apollyon ... it would be a perfect choice lol. (my second favorite ending was with Apollyon) and both they had their memories and had a threesome scene too.. so it would quite possible for a throuple ending with them.
One last thing i loved Marisa ending and that she subconsciously was waiting for MC , she was actually the only LI which waiting for MC even without memories ...(my 3d favorite ending)
and i guess Allison ending was quite good too (4d favorite)
Nonetheless i believe its a very good VN and one of better ones in this site and surely worth playing.

Like i said, it's a state between life and death, so they have some sort of a physical body if they can feel pain and being "un-made".

there is anal sex with one Li Selene in the ending scenes... dont remember with others LIs for certain though i believe there is another 1-2 lis with anal scenes.
