VN Ren'Py Completed The Interim Domain [v0.31.0] [ILSProductions]

Asking for a bit of help if someone can set me straight.

1. Window title says "Complete". Is it really complete? Change log doesn't seem to indicate an "end".
2. Last version I played was 0.27.0 and this was the final screen (saved here) before "End of Content":


I downloaded 0.31.0 and I can see all my old saves when I fire it up. However when I load the up the 0.27.0 save it just gives me the same "end of content" when I try to go forward. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid but I'm hoping someone can give me a clue.

If you have played all the content except the final meeting, you should get this scene.

Once you get through the final assessment of who has more Qi - you, Ifuma or Selene, you should get a screen that looks similar to this:

If you do not see either of these two images, you might want to go to redownload v 0.31 and try your final v 0.27 saves or prior saves again.

FYI - sometime in 2025, the dev said that they will release another rev with more content - but think of it like the Director's Cut for Now & Then versus adding a lot of missing content.

V 0.31 is TID complete.

This game is one of my favourites and is really well-made but goddamn am I annoyed that the Anya ending had her as a young alt-Kaitlin instead of being the same age she was in the Interim.

Also, anyone knows of any Apollyon fan sigs?

Dev Log - TOXICity, dated December 5, 2024




All right, so we're getting the first build ready to go. Gonna say that making a new build brought up things I forgot we customized in our previous titles, so there are more than a few items that we're having to update.

Including the prologue and Chapter One, 0.01.0 is very much an introductory experience that sets the mood and stakes. I'm sure a few of you will wait until we have more episodes out before diving in. But, in terms of this release, we have a functioning user interface. Sure there's some stuff we'll add later on (like the gallery mode), but this should mostly be ready to play.

Let me say that adding a new game to all our various locations, including social media, is a lot more work than I recall. It doesn't help so many of these websites have different specs for their banner artwork. But, by the time the public release is out, we should be good to go.

I know we may have mentioned it before, but TOXICity will feature an Achievement system. I shouldn't have to explain it any more than that. If you've played games on consoles or through Steam, you know what to expect: Do a thing, get an Achievement/Trophy. Though, for TOXICity, each Achievement comes with a pinup. So, much like TID's selfie gallery, this is a "gotta unlock them all" with a reward.

On the topic of The Interim Domain: I guess it has to be said, since we've been getting some questions about it, but the 0.99.0 build for TID will be some time away. The new ending wasn't part of the original plan document, so there's a fair bit to write/render/code. While the new ending will take content from many of the other endings, there's a fair bit of new story to be done, including a bunch of new scenes not already in the game.

If I'm remember correctly the render quality was higher I tried the mega link but the quality is the same, here is an example of how low it is, it wasn't always like this wasn't ?

There are 6 download options on page 1, so I don't know if they all provide the same degree of fidelity in their pictures.

Hehehe this must be because GoFile always put/count the size wrong, it always show higher size in the preview than really is. For what I notice all the download files are 3.93GB but GoFile says 4.2GB but once you hit download it is the same 3.93GB than the others. I got mine from GoFile and I didn't notice any decrease of graphic quality from previous versions of the game, yes there is much better/higher quality games around but in a game of this high content size it also keeps the game lower than 5GB and for sure will run in older computers spec wise, probably also much easier to compress to be able to play it on android devices, I guess it was a choice from the dev.

I don't know I just downlaoded from his patreon link (His free one) and it's the still the same quality did you get the payed version? maybe the free one is lower quality

But in the animations you see difference right away, they are at least 1024p if not higher, you won't notice so much grain in them, even the color tone change. Your post have screenshot of renders/still images of Apollyon gallery entry Being Human and PaxHadrian17 post have screenshot of animations that have higher quality than the still images (Gallery entry: Apollyon: Thanks). Both are the same quality I have in my version hehe.

The choice was almost sure to keep old machines able to run it smooth and easier to compress for android, they also knew they were gonna make a large in content game and that the focus was more on the story than on the porn and visuals so that was the choice they made when started doing the game 2 and half years ago. So it kept the size of the full game under 4-5GB.
Almost sure that the new game the base renders will have higher resolution to keep up with the times and standards of 2024 hehehe, 720p resolution renders probably will make many stay away from the game. For me is the same as long the story is engaging .

Yeah, well I can speak only from version 0.26+ that was when I first played TID right after their other game N&T and it seems the same until version 0.31, I would notice also if a subsequent version was lower in size than the previous one and that could indicate lowering graphic quality (can also be the use of a better extension file or better compression keeping the same/similar quality, not always means lot worse quality). This also enabled faster updates, for sure rendering took much less time like this.

I have not tried to compare these images to the same images derived from the latest rev, paid or free, from the dev so I don't know if there is a difference.

The biggest difference I think someone could see would be comparing the same images from the PC version with that of the Android version.

Android compression would, IMO, lead to some reduction in image quality (I know the dev commented on the challenges of keeping the Android download at about 2 GB) but I never use Android version, so I have no personal point of comparison.
