I played the first game, it was honestly very well written. Second game, lets just say I had to check if it's the same dev. If you are planning for 3rd, wish you all the best.

There will be a final update sometime in 2025 with more endings/scenes.
We don't have the details, but the dev did mention this in at least one earlier dev log.
I'm hoping for a variety of throuple endings, like:
Mira/Apollyon
Tina/Kaitlyn
Sammy/Roe
I'm not sure how the dev can give us an 'All' ending and not have it fit any kind of ending close to what the MC originally asked for of 'The Cycle'.
Since they will give us one last time in TID - I want them to take all the time they need before giving us this gift!

It is a shame that this game never quite came together like the first one did.
Most of the relationships felt shallow with Alison's storyline the worst offender, basically abandoned/going nowhere half way through.
Then ,on top of that, the endings are a clusterfuck of phoned in basics.
Oh well. Congratulations on completing it though.

The game isn't out yet and a place is already waiting for it in my computer in the folder "ILSProductions", because Now & Then and The Interim Domain were great games, i'm sure that TOXICity is gonna be great too, i'm waiting for it impatiently like an Xmas Gift.

Even if not perfect this game was one of the most unique concepts of all the games in this site and i love it for that, i can't wait for the third one

Well. On it's own merits it wasn't very good in my opinion. Also you can't run from your past. Now and Then was a banger of a game. This sadly wasn't for me. I only played about half way through, just didn't click with me. I didn't like how shallow it felt with the relationships. If you like this game, awesome! It just wasn't for me.
Other then that Congrats dev on another finished game! It's amazing you have 2 finished games while some devs have been stringing 1 game along for 7+ years. I'm hoping I can get into your new game.

Completely agree, actually I'm one of the few that prefer this game and story to the previous game for what I see the general opinion is in this thread and yes whatever the opinion/taste is this game should be rated on its own merits and flaws, not by comparing it with the previous game, unless it was a sequel I guess, it is its own game and story.
Actually this game should be on my favorite games list but I already run out of letters/words on the signature
but for me is up there with all those 16 games. Maybe I'm wrong but I see a lot of improvement in many departments compared with Now&Then as it should be when the developer/creator gets more experienced. I played both games one after the other and that was the feel I got.Usually I prefer a more linear story but with the help of the walkthrough and dev changelogs I kind of bypassed the pseudo-sandbox thingy that I usually dislike a lot (sandbox games I mean specially grindy ones that this isn't at all but also because of discrepancies in the plot/continuity errors, if not giving each girl story an even focus) and could make the story flow with more and less chronological sense hehe. Think I started the game at version 0.27 or 0.28 so the main story was mostly finished so my struggle was mostly making the game a more and less linear VN feel, that could be a thing they could add later, a "VN mode"/director's cut where the story flows on the creator point of view like a few sandbox games have.

OH nice, so is this the last update? i loved Now and Then and i wanted to play this one too, but this second game was so exoteric and weird that i just drop it, hope his next game goes back to something more light, i mean Now and then was not "light" but it was nowhere near this one xD well..... i dont really know cause i only played the first 2 updates, but yeah, im looking forward to his next game... lest hope there is a next game...
We do it all the time, in literally every entertainment space. Authors are judged by their past books, movies and TV shows on how they compare to shows that came before it, music artists are constantly compared to their early works.
No different here. The first game was a 10/10 banger, and this was just ok. There were a ton of expectations put on the follow up game to one of the highest rated on the site and it just fell short of it.
