The mega download for PC appears to include a virus, Trajan.GenericKD
Which AV is reporting that?

We have compiled the archives several times on different PC's and always see alerts from Windows Defender and other non-commercial scan engines when we run it through virustotal.com's scanner.

The engines you have to pay for like ESET32, Trend etc. reporting it as clean. This could be an issue with the latest RenPy build that produces false positives. If you Google that you'll see that this is not uncommon.

Remember, many Dev's do not update their RenPy version in the middle of development out of worries that their code no longer works in a new version. They may be running a RenPy version from 3 years ago.

We have used the latest RenPy version for our builds, so that may be a reason why this issue hasn't popped up all that often.
Yet.

80% of scan engines call it clean, and that's what we're going with.
If you're not comfortable with that then please don't DL the files.

And that's all we're gonna say about this issue. Period.

We don't plan on having more than 2 parts to this, so 0.5 would be the first half.
Making lewd animations is what we do and we therefore don't have the time to produce a lengthy VN, as much as we'd like to.

Hope this explains it.
I get what you're saying, but it's still completely ignoring standard versioning convention. Using the version number itself to indicate it's the first version of the first half is just bad versioning. Something like The Interview Part 1 (0.1) would be far more clear.

Here is a virustotal.com check of the latest RenPy development package.

Downloaded from:

File: renpy-7.4.2-sdk.7z.exe

Does this mean that there will be no more RenPy games because developers
won't touch this program anymore?

Maybe your computer is infected and every file you download gets infected by the virus, so when you upload something, it's infected.

But only good AVs can see this new virus, so few detect it.

I'll turn this into a TV show and make money.
We pay good money for several ESET32 AV annual subscriptions and our PC's are constantly monitored.
The RenPy upload was done from a completely different system, and it still showed a Trojan in it.
And that system is continually monitored by Trend AV.

We've really had it with this nonsense and will start reporting any further comments about any supposed
virus infection of our files as trolling this thread.

Here is the Android version. Hopefully :)
We haven't had a chance to test it, so give it a shot if you like.

Cant advance past the first scene "lift / cuffed" options show only and keep going back to that choice over and over on an infinite loop with no visible option to advance.

Well, that sucks.
RenPy compiled several different versions, so we'll upload the other 3 to see if one of them works any better.
We've never done a package for Android, so please bear with us.

This has been explained before but here it goes Renpy engine is known to trigger flags in a lot of AV and it's explained by them already , in some cases like this game the 32bit.exe tends to flag even more warnings again explained in anyway the 32bit has been removed to avoid further unnecessary commotion due to this alert as they are mostly obsolete now
