I decided to
start making my game in July 2017. I have been preparing for a long time and learned to work with Daz Studio. And by
the end of 2017, I prepared version 0.1 for the RPG MAKER. The game was called
"On the beach". It was an ordinary porn game. And the plot was there as an excuse for porn, but by the time version 0.1 was ready, I already hated it. Stupid dialogues, stupid characters, stupid plot. I did not understand why I do it at all. And then I saw the inscription
Adult-game, not Porn-game, and I thought that it was possible to make a game with a more or less normal plot. I do not claim the laurels of the writer, but I wanted to do that more than “Wow! This is my mother's tits! That would be to suck them. (Sorry)
By the way, I don’t consider such games to be bad, they perform their function perfectly well, but I wanted something different. So I took a bunch of books about writing, watched a lot of lectures on this topic and started writing. So the game “
The Intoxicating Flavor” appeared. The game is probably not great, I myself see a lot of problems in it. Both in history and in the game itself. (Someday I will fix them!) But I like to do it and communicate with people who like it too.
The first version of the game was released in May 2018 (11 months have passed since I decided to make the game),
and went mostly unnoticed. Everything seemed to say that the game is not bad, but it did not cause anyone to delight. I already realized that
the game would never become popular. I basically did not care, but I was confused by the cost of translating the game. The game clearly did not bring so much money to cover the translation. As I said without the help of the user under the nickname "
David Wilson", I would not be able to continue the release of the game. Then there were a lot of difficulties, you can read about them in the posts themselves. I did not hide anything.
In December, I decided to take stock of the year and, to be honest, I was very upset. I spent about
1500-2000 hours on the game and was able to save only
$ 450 for all the time. (At that time.) Let me remind you, I have been learning how to make a game for a year and a half. At that moment I lost a lot in motivation. Some friends said that I was just wasting my time, and I began to think that they were right. But
Furuichi Imadori appeared, who became my first $ 40 Patreon. Although I tried to dissuade him! And I thought that if someone is ready to support my game so strongly, then I cannot leave it. Long thought what to do to speed up the release of updates. That is why I have so few patrons, I rarely release updates. So I decided to release the game in the resolution of
1280x720 and
deliberately degrade the quality of the picture, and when I save up a new computer, I will redo everything. I wanted to start doing this with version
0.2.6.
When the video card died, I decided that ITS ALL! I can not anymore. I have already written many times, but I repeat.
My computer can't handle the big scenes in DAZ. Each action takes place with a
delay of 2 seconds. If I move something carefully, then the probability is high that the program will freeze and the model will fly off the edge of the screen, and so every 20-30 seconds. When I realized that I would have to give everything that I had save on the video card for all the time, and this would not be the best of them. And then I have to save the year to the new computer again,
I gave up.

But there was just

Now I have a top video card. (Except RTX 2080ti, this crap costs $ 1500 !!!).
Yes, I still need to save a year on a new computer, but I already have a tool to work better, and this is worth a lot!
After buying the video card, I had
$ 110 left, and decided to buy a few things in Daz Shop that I really need, since I was so lucky this month. I spent
