Okay, I've been at it again...
Took somewhat longer than anticipated, because my computer (RIP) had some hardware problems.
I had to download the game again and when I played it, there were many of the faults I tried to correct before again appearing in the game, so I had to go through the whole game again.

But here it is.. extract the file in the intoxicating flavor directory...
(It's been compacted with winrar, and unzipping in windows standard unzip through explorer could give faulty messages... please use winrar..)

For the dev...
I've tried to correct a lot of english.. not really errors but for better reaading. Corrected a few lines stated by in my opion the wrong people.. treid to put actions (like laughing yawning gasping etc) on seperate lines... Corrected some timing of lines with pictures... tried to prevent 'slang' (gonna & gotta and more) from the mother (a well educated woman who has a degree and ran her own company, the lawyer, the youngest daughter and some other people. thought it would make the game look somewhat better. also, with the MC healing very fast, I said he wouldn't risk going to deep in the island because he wouldn't want to get lost without water, for breaking his leg would heal real quick... let the females call skipper captain... and not driver.. Also shortened some really long lines, they were going through the quickmenu...
after a previous update from me someone here suggested to use winmerge to compare the files... works like a charm...
However, since it's your game, I just hope you compare the files and give me some feedback... sent me a PM or even just put some reaction on this thread..
Everybody, who has any comments, just vent your opion, I just want this game to succeed. Not for myself, but for the dev.

Also 1 question... shouldn't the sound in the basement be also the 'dream sound' ???

Hope You get loads of support through patreon, because in my humble opion you are one that really deserves it.

Happy to do this for you. And for alle the gamers who download this game.

(P.S. I don't need support, just some comments are enough. help the dev!!!)

I recomment all players to set a good reading speed, and put the game on autoplay. And start from scratch...

No offense, Mirewen, but what is YOUR native language? The number of spelling/colloquial errors in your post make me wonder if you are the best option for further translation?

I literally just finished the game for the first time a minute ago so I won't be trying it again so soon, but I think it would probably be better to judge the work Mirewen did instead of the post talking describing it, no? I for one appreciate that someone took the time to offer some improvements to the game's writing, because to me that's the main issue as it stands.

It's almost funny because the plot and the dialog are sometimes quite smart and exciting, but the incorrect words and spelling errors are just too distracting to be ignored.

I truly love the game and am very intrigued by the mysteries set up by the story so far, so if this update by Mirewen doesn't really suffice, PixelsLab can let me know and I will volunteer to review all dialog for quality assurance. Only reason I won't say "I'm gonna do it" right now is because I have never messed with RenPy before so I don't know how to make those changes, but I can learn it without much issue if needed.

If you found any mistakes I made... point them out and I'll correct them...
If you find too many of them and want to correct them for pixalslab yourself, tell me and I'll tell you how to easy correct it yourself.
anyway thanks for the comment

I continue to lay out free wallpapers, tomorrow I will post new wallpapers for $ 5 patrons. This time Liv lit up. ;)

I wanted to write some news here, but frankly, there is nothing to report. I still render 2 layers of images for 3.5 hours and combine them in Photoshop (due to lack of RAM). So one image is done 7 hours, plus or minus. In general, I sit and stupidly stare at the strip with the loading of the render. Soon I’ll be completely crazy about the noise of my computer at night. LOL At the moment, 64 images are ready, and 11 are awaiting rendering, but in general in the future update there will be about 95-100 images. Given that 1 image is rendered for 7 hours ... In general, the update is not yet ready. But I hope when it comes out, you will understand why such sacrifices are needed.

In principle, there’s nothing more to write about, we are waiting for the update, we are waiting for new wallpapers: tomorrow Liv, then Alice, then Katya and Alice.

Thanks for the support!

P.S. I also had a seizure related to my illness, but since the rendering is going on for a terribly long time, this did not affect the work on the game and I already feel good. There’s at least some nice thing about it. LOL

Take your time... do whatever you can, as long as your health comes first!
We'll be patient anyway.

I have to say that is some weird ass storyline in this game and I'm not really sure I follow it completely, but it's interesting, some kind of "Dr. House shortly before he went into rehab/Shutter Island" kind of story and I like the characters. How is the frequency on the updates though?

Looked at this again and it's growing on me so I can look past issues.
Katie in particular is growing a lot on me. I already liked her look but her character is interesting too actually. I like how the relationship is building. Feels like the proper way of doing it. Yes it delays sexy time, but as long as there is tease and flashes it still works as a porn game.
Looking forward to the next release.

Hello. I will not be several days online - the Internet has broken. + At home, a little repair, unfortunately, the computer had to be turned off completely. I'll be back online tentatively on Tuesday. Do not lose.

I thought I'd take a moment to post an update on this. I went through Mirewen review "patch", and I found that while it's no doubt an upgrade from the original, it didn't really meet my expectations or standards, so I decided to take a stab at it... and proceeded to discover just how much I underestimated the amount of work it is. And then, after reviewing the entire game for copy editing changes using Mirewen's version as a starting point, I thought "hey, I'm knee deep in this anyway, might as well take a dive".

I'm currently about 60% done with my second pass on the dialogs to catch anything I missed on the first pass, and since I was already reviewing the entire code base for the game I decided to also review every single screen transition to improve the game's pacing (there are a lot of fade-to-black transitions that don't really convey much meaning to the story), as well as all menu/choices that add friction to the gameplay without adding much value to the experience (for instance, menus with a single option that effectively say "Continue", mostly in the first chapter).

The final result should be a pretty comprehensive fine-tuning of the entire game, hopefully bringing it to a higher standard of quality that makes its great story shine... which I will likely regret as soon as the next version is made available and I now have to go through once again. But such is life.

I should be posting my updated file in a day or two. I'll keep you guys posted if anything changes.

Here we go, ladies and gents. This is the full patch (release 1) for version 0.3.7 of the game. It includes the following:

  • Complete revision of every dialog in the game. My main goals were:
    • Improved grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
    • Eliminate repetition — there were originally a lot of sentences with "So…", "And…", or "… after all…".
    • Improve consistency of onomatopoeias ("Huh", "Mmm", "Mhm", and so on).
    • Faithful representation of each character's personalities and education level — the teens are more likely to speak with casual language, while the more… exotic character uses a more deliberate and educated vocabulary, without the use of contractions (this is probably the biggest artistic liberty I took with this patch).
    • Preserve the author's intent. While some dialogs required more changes than others, I tried my best to ensure that the meaning and intent of each line were always kept as close to the original as possible.
  • Revamped scene transitions:
    • Around two thirds of all transitions were changed to improve the pacing of each scene.
    • The new transitions follow the same patterns whenever possible, and represent concepts from movie editing.
    • Cuts (no transition animation) are used to indicate different camera shots.
    • Dissolves/crossfades indicate movement of either camera or characters.
    • Fade-to-black is used to show passage of time, or cut to a new location.
    • Fade-to-white is used during dream sequences, and a little more artistically than other transitions.
    • Camera shakes were also added to help convey impact on fights, characters falling, or other situations.
  • Added the ability to skip the ping-pong quicktime event minigame.
    • The option is displayed to players right before the match starts.
    • If used, the match still runs as originally intended with the player picking which side they are aiming for, but the "type this character" minigame is skipped.
So that's it. Let me know if there are any issues. I tested it intensively, but it's always possible I missed something. I would also want to take a moment to thank Mirewen for the original revision. I used it as a base for my own, and while there are major differences in our approaches, having that as a starting point cut a considerable amount of time and work. Cheers, mate.

I hope you all can give it a shot, specially PixelsLab who I hope appreciates the effort. Can't wait to see what's next in this story.
