I'd be interested in knowing who enjoys this game, and why. I'm not being negative, I like the game a lot, but I'm genuinely curious about the composition of its fanbase and what they find appealing about it.

The biggest reason I enjoy this game would be the characters I'm honestly impressed by the quality of each character each one of them have their own goals and personality's and its a treat to see, especially because there is so much variety with the different characters. The story well its good it feels like you are always progressing while making you feel those climatic highs which is really hard when a story is this long but I've never gotten burned out by the story which is an achievement. Honorable mentions even though the gameplay is the standard RPGM system its dynamic, fun and challenging I like it. People say this game is so good that it shouldn't be a porn game I disagree with this statement The saucy scenes actually adds layers to the story and characters it also help's keep things grounded and it gives the game a certain charm I mean how many story's have a sexual element to them not many(especially done in a tasteful fashion).

It's not good despite being a porn game. It's the proof that you can write good game with porn in it.

Not even few weeks, in the weekly update Sierra just said she's planning to release it this Friday, partly to give time for any further bug reports to come in.

Thank you. Yeah, the writing is undeniably top-notch and the combat is some of the most balanced I've seen for RPGM. I can definitely see people playing it for these aspects alone. I'm wondering how many people play for the fetish aspect, since it is clearly a parody/subversion of harem adventure games with a cocky douchebag protagonist.

I like retro RPGs in general, I love management aspects and choices & consequences (which many games advertise but few get right) and I like well written 18+ stories that aren't all-out erotica.
When I'm not gaming I'm usually reading harem gamelit books like the ones from Michael-Scott Earle, Daniel Schinhofen, etc (who in my opinion are proof that you can write sexy stories for men that can compete with the writing of a Sanderson or a Rothfuss). According to goodreads I read almost 200 full lenth novels last year, and all but a small handful were indie fantasy and scifi with harem elements. Sierra Lee also writes novels, but sadly they're very PG. I enjoyed a few of her books, but they don't have a lot of real appeal to me either because if it's PG I might as well go back to reading Sanderson. I think she'd do great at writing a novel closer to TLS in genre, but of course she's free to do what she wants to do.
The choices & consequences are interesting as well. Which countries thrive, which countries get ruined, how do you lead your armies, but also how you personally use your powers regarding a few companions. The Gatherings and other big diplomatic chapters are just great, the investments are a pretty interesting choice as well though those are more prone to optimisation while at the diplomatic summits there's usually more trade-offs that you need to consider. The one thing I could give as criticism is that there's almost for every choice a clear "best" option (esp regarding investments), but even so the only games I can immediately think of that do C&C better than TLS would be the Fallout 2 and Age of Decadence (which regardless of the name sadly isn't a porn game).
Regarding the 18+ content in the game, no, I don't think the game would be as good if it did away with all that. It's too tightly interwoven into the plot. It definitely should remain a "porn game". That said I don't think the graphic sex scenes and CG art really add much to the game either. I'm not complaining about them, they look nice ... but the writing is good enough to stand on its own so to me the graphic sex is optional at best for this game. Unlike a lot of other games on the site who would completely fail if they were judged on their writing alone.

Are there more sequences like the conquest in chapter 3?

Yup, there are 2 more large scale conflicts that are handled the same way.
Depending on circumstance, I favor either a balanced team composition like Simon, Vhala, Carina, Varia or team "kill it fast": Simon, Nalili, Uyae, Varia. Other combinations happen as needed.
Simon, aka, Robin and insert variable team member here usually either altina, Riala, Yara or Carina are my main teams for mobs.

I cycle through the party members after every few battles, I like to keep everyone included! (also helps with the more endurance centered dungeons.)

Perhaps a bit of a dumb post, but wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything.
But is there any problem with giving Ginasta the tormented shield? It buffs everything but magic and luck. But seeing as luck is pretty useless and Ginasta's only has one low level fire skill seems like a good trade off.

not really any problem per se, but it's a pretty good piece of equipment that you'd be wasting on what's (thus far) a rather useless character

Did you use a save editor? Sometime these editor will lock the save file in the background. Try to terminate its process or just restart your computer.
