So if you want to maximize xp gain for everyone you should dodge most of the fights during the Fucklord incursion and do them afterwards.
But that might leave your Simon or Robin under the level check thresholds during the fight itself, which is definitely worse.
I wonder why didn't the dev make is that if you want to get Erosian captives you would have to actually fight the stacks and force them to submission, instead of the impersonal dialog option you get now. This way you would have an incentive to fight the Erosians during the war and not after.
I suppose it's easy for me to be an armchair coder here.

Another already reported bug, those enemies were meant to disappear. The .0 patreon versions are all usually bugy and Sierra explicitly says not to ever use them as your 'main save' and to replay that section when the finalized version comes.
I played this game awhile back and I completely agree the story telling just pulls you in.

Got v0.36.1 but was told if you are looking for a bugless version, you should wait for 0.36.2. So going to hold off uploading the new v0.36.1 version

Sierra did say she may add CG but it won't be until the game is finished and may not ever happen so don't take it as certain that it will.
