you either make the game for the futa audience or you don't include futa content in your game.
This isnt true either. This game just implemented it poorly.

try to sell your mc as chad thundercock the destroyer of pussies like the dev tried to do when he was advertising the game in the various avn subreddits
if he did that and proceeded to lead with how the game opens, then thats even more evidence of poor execution. Instead the game has 2 MCs and doesnt make that clear, so all you are hit with is femboy MC as a first impression. Ofc players would feel mislead. Simply poor execution.

Futa is like ntr, it's an all or nothing niche, you either make the game for the futa audience or you don't include futa content in your game.
Players that dislike futa are not going to play your game even if you try to sell your mc as chad thundercock the destroyer of pussies like the dev tried to do when he was advertising the game in the various avn subreddits, once people see that the game has futa and that the mc is really a sissy they nope the F out
Yeah, I get that now. The thing is, there is a chad thundercock MC in the game. I advertised in futa or straight subreddits based on whatever content was relevant, because I genuinely enjoyed making both. It wasn’t some bait-and-switch.

I’ve been called a "grifter" or whatever, but there’s no way a scene would land for the audience if the person making it wasn’t into it. Over time I just realized I enjoy futa content more, partly because it lets me make everyone hot and pretty the way I like — jewelry, lingerie, makeup, curvy bodies, the whole aesthetic ;)

Traditional masculine content has its own appeal and I’ve got nothing against it. At the end of the day it’s about finding the overlap between what my supporters enjoy most and what I actually want to keep making long-term.

The game needed better execution and delivery. You could have absolutely made it work if you had introduced the content in a different way. The game didnt make sense if you skipped the content cuz shit played out basically as if you did it anyway and also, recall how the first release went. Noone would know a second mc existed across the galaxy. All they would see is that basically you lied about the set up.

That said, I hope your next game fares better. Hopefully you do a better job with the story telling and narrative there.

Major Update: New Game Direction

Looking Back at The Last Star Walker
Two years ago, I created the first render for TLSW and started building this story. I'm really proud of what we've created together—a plot-driven game with intense action scenes, dark themes, and lore that goes deeper than most AVNs. The complex world-building and layered storytelling were ambitious, maybe too ambitious for the AVN genre.
Here's the reality: the feedback over these two years has shown me that this style of game struggles to find its audience in the AVN space. The Steam launch confirmed this—the numbers were disappointing. I want to be honest with you: I don't enjoy my day job, and I dream of doing this creative work full-time. But to make that happen, I need to find a path that's both creatively fulfilling AND financially sustainable.
I need to focus on something that has a real chance to grow.
Why I'm Making This Change
I've hit a wall creatively with the straight content. All the kinks have been explored and fresh ideas just aren’t coming anymore. I don’t want to put out low-effort content that I’m no longer excited about, and you all deserve better than that.
With futa content, I get a constant flow of new scenes, kinks, and character ideas. I love designing and working with beautiful characters and futa content lets me lean into that. Also, the feedback from you has consistently shown this is the content you enjoy most.
There are tons of creators doing straight content, and big studios do cinematic action far better than I ever can alone. Instead of trying to compete there, I want to focus on a niche where I can deliver something unique, something you can’t easily find elsewhere.
What This Means for The Last Star Walker

This isn’t because I’ve stopped caring. TLSW taught me more than any course, book, or tutorial ever could—about art, storytelling, and about all of you: what connects, what doesn’t, and what you actually show up for.
Your support made that project possible, and it deserves to be said clearly:

I know this shift may be disappointing or frustrating to some, and I take responsibility for the ambition—and missteps—that led to this point. I’ve learned a lot from TLSW, including what I need to improve on moving forward.
Introducing My New Project: Futaheim
I’m starting a new AVN called Futaheim. More detailed info about the game is in a separate post here (it’s NSFW, so I can't make it public):

I want to build a game that speaks more clearly to the AVN audience, delivering polished erotic content without the burden of a huge epic—and I’m scoping it smaller on purpose so I can see it through.
I’d Love Your Input
Since Futaheim is still early in development, your feedback can directly influence its direction:
  • What didn’t work for you in TLSW?
  • What did work and absolutely should be carried forward?
Your insights genuinely matter.

I hope I can earn your trust with this new direction—and create something you truly enjoy.

If he started out as a futa character but hates being futa but doesn't know how gifted he is so he pretends to hide it until he has a relationship, etc. Then he has a partner, but she doesn't want to do anything, and he introduces her to his family. Then he realizes that something is wrong with her. The lower part of her body was more excited than before. I like your game, but at some point I stopped playing it. If you're going to be so futa, that's great, but I also don't know, something didn't add up, and I don't even like science fiction that much, but I hope you improve with your other game projects.

I'm sad that you stopped working on this game. The fantasy world was really beautiful and had a lot of potential, but the story felt weak compared to this world and needs more development. I really hope the game isn’t abandoned and that the story continues, even just a little. Wishing you the best with your next game!

Well, now you know what you enjoy to create, hopefully you keep creating games and start a Futa game. And hopefully it will be a FutaXFuta or FutaXFemale, but what is important is that you create what you want to do. As long as it isn't a sandbox (since it has no redeeming qualities).

I think even within the futa genre, there are a good number of people completely turned off by the "futas only think with their dicks" trope combined with the "mc is limp wristed bitchboi made for futa cocks" trope. Not that sissification and femdom isn't a popular enough subgenre.

In my anecdotal experience talking to my own supporters, it's great when the futas are actual people with personalities outside of their 15 inch dicks, and don't treat the mc like garbage. Futadom is kind of its own thing, but you can usually satisfy people by having at least one dominant futa, who is ultimately still compelling as a character. Ironically, I hate sissification, but enjoy crossdressing. In games. Not in real life...

That said, futa fans are in a perpetual state of dehydration so they're usually willing to give anything with futa in it a shot at minimum, with your mileage varying as to whether they'll stick around after seeing the implementation.

Anywho, this game had really great renders so it's a shame to see it go, but you've got the talent to make your next project successful so I look forward to seeing where it takes you, and hope your new and growing futa fanbase treats you well.

Absolutely agree. I hate rapey futas and don't get me started when they're black all the sudden it's a Minstrel show. Love your game by the way

Pretty much this, thing is that a lot of people seem to think if the futa is topping at all she must act like a cunt and treat the mc like shit. Which can be hot sure but gets very stale if that is every character.

She can be large and in charge without being a giga cunt no?

This can be spread wider to "dom games" in general, the majority of them on the site treats the tag as if its a synonym to abuse, slavery, bodily harm or some dystopian setting where all men are treated as subhumans at best.

The few games where there is a character that (without blackmail or death threats) goes oh btw im really into kinky shit want me to step on you?
And you can either respond with ah...... no thank you not my thing but cool cool or please step on me mommy lol. Now those are the real goat "dom games" if you ask me.
