Steam allows for refunds if a person has played for less than one hour or if it has not been a week since the purchase. As far as I remember, this information may be outdated, as I haven't opened Steam in a long time.

The dev has been in the comments even after someone had pasted the patreon post. Pretty sure it's unfortunately over, but they are continuing on a different project now.

Not even remotely what they're trying to say. The question was if it's truly abandoned and that the person would only believe so if the dev themselves said so. Lorzi is simply saying that the dev is in the comments, confirming it's abandoned and they're continuing on a different game.

If development has effectively stopped and the project has been abandoned, then it should be removed from Steam.
Many Steam users are not aware that this game is no longer being actively developed. Allowing people to purchase a game that will never be completed causes real harm to customers. If users knew in advance that development had been discontinued, they would not buy it.
Selling an unfinished game with no intention of completion is misleading, and it should not be left on the store as if it were an active project.
I would not have purchased this game if I had known it would end up being abandoned like this.

I would say that my primary issue isn't just that the game belongs to the niche FUTA genre, though the inclusion of sub/sissyMC and "futa on male" makes it even more of a niche, I prefer a non-sub MC in this situation, regardless of mc gender. The main problem is that the storytelling simply isn't engaging, and if you press 'Ctrl' during a dull dialogue, you immediately lose track of the plot and have no idea who all these people are.
The cast is excessively large, i'm not even sure the MC gets more screen time than the others—especially since there are two of them here. If you ctrl the game from the beginning, you're left with a confusing jumble of scenes and genres, and these visuals/scenes fail to tell the story on their own. I only managed to get through a chapter and a half before I started ctrl-skipping. And the sex scenes weren't great: too many close-ups, and yeah, sometimes it just feels gross rather than sexy. Buy the Steam version, the dev removed all the futa content in that version of the game...
