Ok, guys, I absolutely adore what you're doing here, but I hear the phrase "twice or three times larger than last" and alarm bells start ringing in my head.

Don't get me wrong, this is pretty much the experimental phase of the proyect so it's good that you're not getting married with anything on game (designs, lenght of chapters etc. etc.) but sincerely if your chapter lenght just keeps balloning every new one, I will really advice to find one lenght where you can confortably make a good chapter on a reasonable amount of time.

We're new to this so we're learning as we're going. But a lot of this also has to do with laying the ground work as well. DMF has been creating all the sprites, which will be easier to reuse and slot in making the work faster as it goes. With each new chapter there will be a larger database of existing sprites to choose from, and less 'completely new' art work that needs to be slotted in.

which, don't take that the wrong way....it's not that D won't be doing new independent art for every chapter... but it's enough he has a spread sheet which has a set of different 'emotions' and reactions for all the characters... and their faces already slotted in... so if it calls for a scene that say, Leni needs to look afraid in, the spite is there and is popped in easy from the ground work already laid.

So that goes into the work being created there.

Next on the size... We both agreed chapter 1 is pretty short, enough we almost consider it a 'prologue' of things. So it's not so much we're trying to make things gigantic but put more meaty content inside.

We may learn from this chapter that we overdid it, and it may have went a little TOO long, or maybe it'll turn out to be "Just right" we won't know until it's finished... But we have a detailed outline that tells us every scene that needs to be written and animated... so at the least we're not flying by the seat of our pants here!

All that being said, we can only ask for patience as we figure out how this all works... Especially for DMF who by the end of this will probably be able to make his living as not only an artist but a programmer with all the knowledge he's been gaining from this.

This particular chapter has a theme of "days" covering about a week, as that's what works best for this part of the story. The next chapter probably won't follow the same format as we already know where that's gonna take place and it'll be different circumstances.

Just as a hint, chapter 2 is called "Working for the weekend" (even if the work being done is more during the 'week')

I find sprite work to be some of the most tedious aspects of implementation, especially once you have lots of additional poses. Not sure if this will help you out or not (I use it all the time), but I built this tool to work with layered images. I haven't looked into how things are setup for this game (and it may have changed in the latest version), but if you are using layeredimages for your character sprites (and they are pngs) this tool might be of use?

Anyhow, looking forward to the next update whenever it is ready!

TL;DR with said sprites now already existing for the story aspect of well....the story, things can expand in other directions (lewdest directions).

But what do I know I'm not a dev, what I am is a pervert and I spy with my little eye Lucy's panties in the preview of chapter 2. Clearly that is the most important take away of any of this.

So hyped for chapter 2. Lucy is by far and away the best character in loud house. The scene with her in vents at end of chapter 1 was pretty hot. That goth princess is going to get hers it seems =)

I'm glad to see lucy. The other loud house game that barely works and is barely in English refuses to make content for probably the fan favorite girl. Lucy, Luna and Lynn are way better than lori and especially leni which seem to be the sisters with the most content in lost panties. To be fair it would be nice to actually be able to see the content in that game without going through a buggy mess of an intro anytime you want to try an update.

Oh, trust me that I understand how it feels, after playing lots of "long" porn games since I was a teenager, it was always a pain in the ass having to restart from 0 on every update.
That's why I made a chapter selection screen, lol.
Planning to add a screen after each chapter before jumping to the next, reminding the player to save the game there (so there are no problems on the next chapter) and some completion stats and such.
Still, I'm not a professional coder, so maybe the savefiles will have problems, who knows. So I hope this workaround would help, just in case.
