Awesome and yeah, proofreading/testing your own stuff can easily make you overlook things cause you've seen it so oftenFirst thanks for playing. I've been researching animations almost all night and this morning, and I have it fixed! I don't want to bore people with the fix, but I've tested it a couple times now and I'm not seeing any flashes or any red text. So I'll update the demo soon.
I'd say, as sad as it is, Irwin's death opens up a ton of options, not only with Rhea. From the top of my head:
Rhea could have been _too happy_ about the incident and wanting sex to take her mind of things. Including jealousy and causing trouble with the protagonist's every day life and other relations (sis, Ella, princess, others). She could be very upset about it, up to completely repressing it and making it a challenge to gain her favor again.
There could be an investigation about the death and the investigator could play a central part in the rest of the game. The investigator being female would open up a bunch of different options.
Did the dad have a rich/poor brother/sister/cousin no one ever heard about? Is he/she hostile or friendly?
And what's with Rhea's family? Does she have siblings that might want to visit? They could have troublesome younglings they want to get rid of temporarily, or treasured ones they want their horizons expanded by living in the big city for a while.
And then there is the question if there's magic in this world. 'Low' magic could work, like enchantments in the Arthurian saga (sword in the stone, lady of the lake), but no magic might be better as it doesn't complicate things and prevents a feature creep - problem.
In any case, it's not like you're on the clock or something, you'll figure it out
