Yeah, people's playstyles differ and that's obviously fine. I don't need the MC to be a 1:1 stand-in for me; I'm quite happy to play an MC of any gender, dom or sub, etc., but I do need to be able to put myself in the MC's shoes, whatever shape they may be.
So when you play Mortal Kombat and get your butt kicked you say "oh damn Liu Kang got his butt kicked" and not "damn I just got my butt kicked"?
Well, outside of Erotic games, I absolutely never, ever play anything in first person. If I'm playing Assassin's Creed, then I'm playing Kassandra's (ect) story. If I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn, then I'm playing Aloy's story. If I'm playing Final Fantasy, then its the story of those characters, and I'm just in control of it. I want to have fun and get all that I can out of it, but at the same time, I'm not putting myself into the shoes and the personality of the character, I'm just acting it out, and controlling the action. I always want that 3rd person perspective and the separation, or lack of immersion of that's the better term.

Yeah, I'm pretty similar it's basically like watching pov porn. Sure I see it from the pov of the actor, but at the end I'm just watching random people banging, the only difference is that in porn games it's easier to explore different kinks.
Well, I get that a lot of people like games like that, and a lot of developers make them like that.....but all I can do is take what I can from them. My favorite games are often the ones set up like I laid out, however if a game has great art and a good story, then I can still enjoy it. I just might be a bit frustrated by it. I never imagine him to be me. He is a person in the story and I always use the name Luke, even though that's not my name. I think it would be weird for me to give him my own name and imagine him to be me, especially with the family relations in many games

First of all it seems quite a few people are frustrated by the lack of payoff. Why the MC don't get to have his way with all these hot women already? I get your point.
I think that's mostly born from the big gap between updates and the fact that they are relatively short; every story have a set up and a payoff; typically the payoff is only a few pages away in a comic or a book or half an hour or so in a movie. Things get more tricky when dealing with a game where each installment is months apart from the previous one. Those lucky people in the future that will get to play the complete game in a couple of hours won't have to deal with any of that but for now all we can do is try to publish our updates faster and faster; which takes hardware and people; which as you probably guessed takes cold hard cash
This said the next two installments are focused on progressing the MC story and getting some of that sweet sweet payoff.
That brings me around to the Brigitte hate; love her or hate her in this arc she mostly fit the shoes of the villain. If you feel frustrated about how she keep getting the upper hand on the MC and can't wait for the moment he can finally turn the tables on her or at least punch her in her smug face... well... good! That's exactly what you're supposed to feel. After all you waited three movies to see Luke Skywalker whoop Darth Vader's ass and another three to see somebody finally show the finger to Sauron (though it was the wrong finger and it got chewed off immediately after...) see what I mean... that's good catharsis right there!
There is some shade of femdom in this update and the next; if it's not your cup of tea just bear with us. We promise is a one off
For the volume the advice is always the same, if you have very good speakers or an headset for the love of God set you main volume to 50% or so. To make sure it can be heard loud and clear on every device we test it on the crappy speakers of my old laptop. On anything better every sound is at risk of shattering your hear-drums
Finally the ever present complain from people who see their family jewels turn to a worrisome shade of blue (it's literally in every thread on this forum... including the technical help page 'though in that case is probably justified). The core of this update is basically a orgy with three hot women, if that doesn't do it I don't know what will... but we'll keep trying.

You have described the fundamental differences between many of those who hate NTR and those that enjoy it (or at least tolerate it). Lack of understanding between these two philosophies leads to all kinds of animosity and gnashing of teeth on this site. Like you, it is very rare for me to place myself in the stead of a character in these games. I look at myself as a type of Loki--someone that causes chaos and corruption. That's why I don't get bent if I see sex between other characters in a VN.

Where did i say that the game was only about femdom? The MC just got pushed around this update by someone's slave and the developer said that next update we can expect more or less the same, isn't that right? That's quite bad considering that each update is like four months apart, and that's A LOT of time just to expect being forced to a femdom scene and mind you, i don't mind if it's avoidable, then by all means do include it but the fact that we are most likely gonna get forced into it... It just doesn't suit well with me, and from what i have seen it doesn't sit well with a shit ton of other people either.
I get that view too and I often do that in games where I don't find any of the characters appealing (even from RP perspective). I 've played games where I'm making all the worst decisions just to fuck with the characters for the fun of it. But a game that manages to immerse you in its world is always better imo.
well tough shit, they make the game not you. Not every game need to cater specificity for your kinks and likes and it shouldn't be, otherwise it would just be boring as hell.
