Yeah, it's not the point of the game, but it definitely helps soothe my inner grouch and makes it easier to go along with the plot when the manuscripts and lore sort of make sense.
I have to make some stuff up obviously, but I try to base as much as possible on reality. For instance, here is the data on the real Ludolphus Saganensis, from -- which pretty much is the info you get in the game:

Like I said in my review, I only play porn games for the articles. And no one can prove otherwise.

How do i rise coruption
Acquire sin, though so far the only way I know to do that is drink with the brothers. there might be other ways?

(So far for me this is a scripted event that occurs when certain events have been competed. It's not something you can do on a daily basis.)

meant to write this ages ago.

I managed to play through the new content in one sitting. Still very much looking forward to seeing where it goes. I am curious how much you already have planned out/in mind. For example (without spoilers as to what, obviously) when you started had you already decided what was causing the attacks (it has been interesting so far that the game has been living quite the equal opportunity for it to be Supernatural or a human up to no good and covering their tracks well).

Someone mentioned they enjoyed the investigation and being poked about it and wanted more of it. I don't mind that... but maybe not too many more jump scares, it was fine we had some early on to set it up... but it is also a porn game I'm not normally in a position when I want a sudden scare while playing :p

I liked in the previous update the game allowed us some out-of-continutity repeatable content, so even if you're stuck or have reached the end of the current content (or the current content that provides sex scenes) you can still have access to some. Something I'd like to see is a feature similar to the "memories" from Paradise Lost so that you can go back an repeat scenes, for example you can't see Julia's scenes at the end of the current content or Emma's scenes from in the confessional etc etc. I know in Paradise Lost there was an "in character reason" for it which wouldn't apply to this one. Maybe in the Alchemist's Laboratory you can meditate and recall things you've done so far... I'm not sure. It's not something 100% necessary but it'd be a nice addition.

I generally only plan the minimum that I need to, and as rough ideas rather than going into detail, because I want to be able to make things up as I go along. Then it's like I'm discovering the truth/story while I write, like I'm in the story myself not knowing what will happen, which I enjoy. But since there is a mystery in this game, with an investigation tied to it, I did have the truth behind the mystery worked out before I released v0.1. That way I can place hints and leads early in the investigation -- like you said, some pointing to humans other to the supernatural -- knowing the truth about them and have it all come together in the end making sense.

I still don't know exactly how things will play out with the investigation or all the details of the mystery. As far as the story goes, I basically know the start and the ending of the mystery, but I can work on the details as I go along, building on what I know of the truth behind it all. It's not necessary to know 100% the truth about something until I committ to that truth by relying on it in the story.

Repeatable scenes can be a lot of work to implement without them causing bugs. In Paradise Found, I gave up making them work without bugs and simply disabled the save function when replaying events. For The Monastery, I wanted something that wouldn't bug and wouldn't require too much of my time, so I made a compromise to allow some events to be repeatable, and then make sure they don't bug. So, because of the work required, I don't think I will try to implement a general replaying option like in Paradise Found.

The Path to paradise was a really nice game giving a good ammount of content in every update. This one is really slow in progress and the last update gave you like nothing in content. You people ask 3-5-8 etc euros to support you every month but you have to think that you need more to deserve to support you and others game creators. Giving this quality of updates is really sad.
