End of year, working from home, change freeze (IT), not much to do.HOLY HELL!!!
YOU'RE STILL AT IT!!??
Mildly impressive
yeah. I get all of that. It just still bugs me every time I go through it. For me there is only the hate path. I can’t see any reason within the text of the story to give Kaija the benefit of the doubt or any more chances. I just hope I get the option to kill her soon - because it is also too late to change my mind about her or the Templars in general and any more scenes where I’m forced to go hang out with or talk to her will just start to get offensive narrativelyyeah on the hate path if I had the option would of been the Valkyrie girl or not at all. But if there was no option for me Kaija is literally better than any other templar for me , even if she was still doing a job on the hate path I trust her more than the rest.
Well....most of the time perhaps lmao. And unlike reddit (and Templars and Kaija), it's civilized.
No - but I haven’t in any of my games and now I need to kill all of the Templars and burn the organization to the ground- then salt the Earth where it stoodDid you forget that the MC himself can kill the new girl?
The more opinions I read, the more I want to wait and see. There are a few gaps in the story so I think there is a lot more info to come around Kaija, the parents and Finn. For example, did the Templars attack Finn or were they defending themselves? Was it even the Templars? Was it Kaija? and so on.Unless he's gathering intel for Medb - If, after Finn, MC just goes back to taking long walks with Kajia and chatting with Templars in bars .. it might be game killing for me.
But see, even the math on that isn't adding up for me. Kaija is about the same age as the MC, and her skill levels (for combat, driving etc) are off the charts - like a global elite level. You don't do that with a two year community college degree. The more opinions I read, the more I want to wait and see. The only absolutes I can see so far is:
- Kaija chose the Templars over the emotional well being of her childhood friend.
- Kaija fucked up by entering in to a relationship with the MC instead of staying at a friend level.
- The parents are at the very least, ignorant when it comes to their son's emotional wellbeing.
- The father and Templars were negligent when it comes to the MC's physical wellbeing.
The fact that Kaija had to keep secrets for her job is one thing, but keeping secrets like that when they involve me (MC) directly, her 'best friend and lover', no thanks, I don't need or want friends like that. I'd never trust her again.
ive always been a Believer in the theory / idea that Kaija has been brainwashed by the templars from an Early Age , especially for how skilled she is , ( If I recall she is one of the stronger Templars). This one of the reasons among others I find it easier to forgive Kaija , and don't blame to many things on her as I put most of the blame on them not her.But see, even the math on that isn't adding up for me. I used to have neighbors whose daughter wanted to be an Olympic figure skater. From early childhood she trained probably 6 hours / day on average + school. (She didn't make it, fwiw.) To get to the level she's at Kajia would have had to start training in early childhood. So, I'm assuming to get to her current skill level she's been in training - for many hours / day since before she and MC knew each other, or at least as long as they've known each other. Which would mean that she has known all along about the Templars, and about his parents and has been hiding a significant part of her life from her "best friend" the whole time.
Is it possible that the Templars didn't kill Finn? Sure, but unless I have evidence to support that, I'm going to take Medb's word and assume that they did.
Does it matter to me if Finn tried to kill Kajia first, and died in the attempt? No.
If I found that they didn't kill Finn would it make a difference? It would probably be the difference between me never wanting to speak to any of them again, for any reason and wanting to kill them all. But I would still offer to serve Medb in whatever capacity she needed me to. If she says yes, then I'm back to killing Templars. If she says no, then I go home and hang out with Fiona - Talking to Rebecca (alone, on her own, and not in Templar HQ) is the closest I'd get to talking to the Templars and I wouldn't even give Rebecca any information the Templars might be able to use against the Elves. I'd just tell her that the Templars are completely lying about them, and they are just trying to protect themselves from the Templars and who are bad.
I'm laughing about the confusion, Jessica is MC sister and has except the ties through her parents nothing to do with the Order of Knight Templar, you got me twice really confused with "Rebecca"Sorry, meant Jessica.
Ok but to me being brainwashed might make her sympathetic but it also makes her a lost cause, especially if it was from an early age. She would never be not brainwashed, at least not fully. So IF that were the case or what I believed, I still wouldn't want anything to do with her. Like I said - the only path to redemption for Kajia would have been leaving the Templars - I mean I would have told her that at the kitchen table the first night (with MC's mom) and would have expected an answer - one way or another - by the time we met in the park. It's too late now. By the time MC comes back from the Elves, if Kajia were to run up and say she's missed him and left the Templars - I don't think I'd believe her. (It would have to be verified by a lot of things - like no more late nights, no more "business trips", no mysterious phone calls etc ... for a long, long time. )ive always been a Believer in the theory / idea that Kaija has been brainwashed by the templars from an Early Age , especially for how skilled she is , ( If I recall she is one of the stronger Templars). Even entering the relationship I don't blame her for as I see it it's one the few things she has done that made her happy. Is it wrong cause some of the secrets sure depending on who you ask. I find it hard to be mad or blame her for it when I think how she most likely been brainwashed by them at a young age so her doing something that makes her happy even if it's wrong I find easy to forget and forgive. To me everything she has done even the things she did that was wrong makes more sense if she has been brainwashed and trained by the Templars from an early Age. ( Like the Jedi)
Yeah, she's who I meant - that's the closest I'd get to talking to the Templars. If you burnt bridges with the parents, then you will get that she comes over to your site, but be warned she will try to bring you back to the family, or at least to forgive them, given the situation on that path.Yeah, she's who I meant - that's the closest I'd get to talking to the Templars. Yeah I get it. I actually used to not be fully on the hate Templar train until the last update cause of Finn. I was always split cause they did wrong the MC but was never enough for me to fully hate them either. As I felt the Elfs were probably just as much in the wrong as the Templars. So now I do want that option to have Kaija pick me or the Templars. Ideally I would of liked to ask her after getting the father back while I didn't fully hate them then I also wanted to get her away from them, as I saw they were bad news for a relationship which is what I want with Kaija and still do. But now I want that choice more than ever.Ok but to me being brainwashed might make her sympathetic but it also makes her a lost cause, especially if it was from an early age.
