The difference in detail is great, and although charmless, I much prefer this charmless but realistic room to the alternative.

That's too many art assets, which are currently the bottleneck. Iirc backgrounds are a pain in the ass for artists i've known growing up. Though i'm probably just being nervous due to past experiences watching all those single-man projects from artists who never programmed before getting way ahead of themselves and adding a whole feature and ui only to use it once. Then it's just there like a vestigial body part to constantly remind you of it.

Yeah I don't think we'll want to lock things like that behind a paywall. I don't think we legally can.

Well it's going to be like- Oh you already posted the idea.

Things can always change but for now, it's mostly gonna be bedsheets. In the future, we'll probably add grass or change the perspective for wall sex but again that's in the future. We plan on doing many revisions to ensure that early chapters will be just as good as the endgame.

I'm pretty sure our staff size will expand so increased talent will allow it.

Again yeah. Art is the thing holding up the release. Nothing against the artists. They're actually going at an impressively fast pace and we're not gonna treat them like they work in a sweatshop.

Trust me. It's not a single-man situation. Our coder, UI maker, artists, writers, ect are all separate people. The only person being stressed out, to my knowledge, is me because comic books are WEIRD and I've had the team ask me several times "HOW DID THAT MAKE IT INTO A COMIC AVAILABLE FOR KIDS?!" Needless to say some gross-out moments such as the X-Men shrinking down to go into Kitty Pryde's uterus to kill aliens hiding inside it or X-23 performing back alley abortions with her claws on HERSELF will not feature in this game.

This was actually gonna be something I was gonna respond to being a possibility and I'm gonna throw it at the team. I don't even think our background artist will need to do it. Our UI guy can have it done in 5 minutes.

It obviously wasn't shown but in the comics X-23 was a hooker who used her powers to cater to guys into mutilation so she'd get clients who would jerk off while slicing her up. Birth control doesn't work on her because of her healing factor so she needed to get more than one abortion.

The comics are brutal to Laura as she had to resort to prostitution because the X-Men shunned her for attacking Wolverine and she was on the run from S.H.I.E.L.D. afterward. We're kinda bypassing that stuff since as far as the team is concerned it's just "something that happened" and nothing really important relies on it. At least none of the stories we plan on adapting rely on it.

You don't make a good story with rape, or underage sex - you don't need edgeness to have human deception, all you need is respect and intuition to let it be natural (as opposed to forced) and realistic (as opposed to clear/non-dimensional.)

I've done writing in the past, and I had to touch on some bad plain of thoughts under characters I wanted to make enjoyable to read and the best tip there is for that is to make them interesting without fluff - less talking when their mind is being layed out on their own terms.
Spontanity in conveying ideals is great when you have intelligent realistic characters explaining stuff.

I've recently watched Sopranos, the entirety of it - it can be really stupid sometimes - but often it'll have the best dialogue I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. It helps that expressions can convey more than words and most of the cast kills it with their faces.

I'm not 100% sure and I don't care to look for "confirmed ages" when in the last 60* years of X-Men comics only takes place within a 14 year timespan in universe. Though she was probably around 16 to 18. She was made after Wolverine became Weapon X

Some scant details i've collected. It looks like one of their 3 tenets is "make more mutants" resulting in a whole bunch of people pairing up. Unclear if it's poly or strictly monogamous stuff.

Krakoa, the living island, has now become mutant Wakanda. They export medicinal super plants. 5 mutants use their powers together in a ritual to resurrect any and all mutants. Dead heros and villains are brought back and make peace.

The idea I had was to stop around before Onslaught shows up. With the exception of a few comics that came out to fill some of the girl's side stories.

I mentioned all Limbo content would be exclusive to Magik and we recently decided to make Days of Future's Past into a Kitty-focused story. Meaning you don't get to see either unless you pursue them. Although we mentioned waaaay earlier that you can explore these routes platonically.

With Laura, all of her content is way past Onslaught. So some things will be popping up earlier in the timeline.

In my off time, I've been penning outlines for sequels primarily set after M-Day where the MC just goes around and takes part in various story arcs like Civil War. Though don't expect anything like that for YEARS. We still wanna get this game out for you guys.
