This was a miscommunication on my end. We were waiting on the art for characters and a few backgrounds to be done but I didn't mean to imply that we had the game fully programmed just with no art or something.
We're putting things together, testing, putting more things together, and testing that.
As we're going through this process we're also getting more music and clothing options from our excited artist and music man.
Pretty much this. We already have a firm idea of what's going to make the cut for the first release so don't worry about feature creep delaying anything.
We want you guys to have something you can have fun with so whatever doesn't make the cut will probably be included in the second update such as music, more clothing, more random dialogue.
A fun base first then y'all get the bells and whistles.

Not even the beginning of April sounds right, that's 36 days from now. I don't think it'll take the team that long given what you said last time.

I also meant to ask, any plans to include prone dog? Missionary, doggy and cowgirl are classics, but so is prone dog - same as... I actually have no idea how to present this one, I guess it's just... having a girl sit on your lap towards you? Now that I think about it, it's a rather boring position. I got an illustrated picture of it if it's just that difficult to grasp what I mean exactly.

Nah "at worst" is the end of April. At best is the beginning of March. Don't take this as a confirmation, since setbacks can happen, but I'd say late March or early April is the more reasonable expectation. If a setback does actually occur, I'll let you guys know.
Of course. As we get things moving forward I'll be expanding my comic research beyond X-Men. If something neat happens around the time the story you're playing through happens, you'll find news reports, rumors, girls taking note of things. Just to make things seem bigger and give you guys reason to play older chapters.
We'll be adding cowgirl retroactively to the same time you get missionary. New conversation topics will be placed where they make the most sense.

I know mutants can be born from parents who aren't mutants, but if both parents are mutants, is that a 100% chance that the child'll be a mutant? Is it a 50% chance if only one is or - like X-2 said - is it mostly on the father's side?
Dude you'll be having like most if not all of chapter 2 before winter. The only reason chapter 1 is taking so long is that we're building the game itself. It's like other games. Expansions and DLC take a much shorter time to create. The writing process will also be shorter since we'll have a grasp on the characters and programming will be faster since we'll be more familiar with the code. Heck our plan is to launch our patreon after the first release. We'll probably get more art done in quantity and speed with a higher budget.

"Mutation" in the comics and films don't work that way in the real world. Even the father's side doesn't make as much sense unless the child is a girl.
1. An example of how heredity works is that if your mother's father hasn't gone bald, you will have a very low chance of going bald yourself. The Y chromosome doesn't actually do much other than determine if you're born a dude. So it would be gained from the mother since your X chromosome is inherited from your mother. So if your father goes bald, that actually only contributes a small percentage of your chances. My father is bald and I have a lion's mane of thick hair.
2. Mutations are... well mutations. Something abnormal happened in gene replication or an older gene reactivated. While I highly doubt humans have a hidden gene that lets us control fire, ice, and the weather. Us having a higher healing rate, more durable skin, better hearing, and all that is far more realistic. Like when they made that chicken with a lizard mouth instead of a beak. It was a deactivated gene.

I'm curious about that as well, I don't remember if the older versions had them for Laura and Rogue. I'm also curious to see how y'all're doing them for different characters. One putting the white strands on Rogue's made me cringe somewhat so I'm hoping for more restraint.
Admitting to some sort of freakish kink, I'd also like them to have hair elsewhere... will they, Shiny?

I don't know if this has been asked/discussed before, but is there going to be random/one off encounters? Obviously resources are focused for now, but in the future it would be interesting to change the formula with/from the core group of characters.
For example,
The MC is messing around in McCoy's lab and we create a formula duplicating us. We then bump into Spiral, and engage in a fun blow-bang.
We're filling up the danger rooms systems with sexual simulations. Accidentally awaken Danger and she/it's horny.
Or maybe a hand-job from lady deathstrike, because why not......

We've designated these characters as "side girls." They'll be added when time and resources permit.

I've had to smack people with the horny stick a few times because some girls just aren't worth coming up with a game's worth of 100% original writing just because them being dead or in space is lame lol

The game will have five or six chapters covering the span of several X-Men storylines.
Say for whatever mad lad reason we decide to have Mary Jane Watson of all people show up.
We found out that in the Spiderman Comics that were written concurrently with the X-Men ones, Peter and Mary Jane broke up around the beginning of our game's Chapter 2 but get back together Spring Chapter 4 and married Summer Chapter 4.
Mary Jane would be a side girl between the beginnings of Chapter 2 and 4 as we have a no homewrecking policy.

Before graduating college Peter proposed to Mary Jane. She wasn't ready to settle down and they broke up awhile later and just weren't seeing each other. Peter dated other girls before they got back together so if Mary Jane ever did show up in this game, there could be guiltless sex.
