A month overdue in replying to this thread, sorry just read it today.
I'm really impressed with how well you have responded to the criticism in this post. I am about six months into making my first VN. Knowing the amount of time and effort required I could only imagine negative feedback would be quite difficult to hear. The fact that you have taken it on board and responded in such a positive way truly impresses me.
I hope then when I go public with my own work, I have the emotional fortitude to deal with the feedback half as well as you seem to be.
The kind of feedback you will get depends on the kind of content you have in your game. It's very simple certain tags/fetishes don't match so if you avoid these bad combinations there shouldn't be complaints on that side of things but at this point, it is a regular occurrence that new devs make the mistake and mix tags that should not be mixed.

I understand the feedback and I understand the reasoning behind it. My only point is that I'm pretty damn impressed with the response.
Stunted emotional development. The dev should only listen to paying patrons, not shitposters in F95 who most of them don't have intention of supporting the dev financially either way.
Does that mean he shouldn't listen to you telling him who should he listen to? Think about it.
I am a patron. I do not tell dev what to do. He should make the game that fits his vision. I only vote in polls he make in patron.

This may sound kind of lame, but porn can be a journey of sorts...
When I first started watching porn, there was no way I was going to watch anal. IMO it was a one way street and was just gross. Eventually, I ran across Gia Dimarco having an orgasm while doing anal and I was hooked. There are still a lot of things I don't get or like in porn like guys sticking their fingers down the girl's throat or slapping their faces... (and incest... I really don't get that) but there are a lot of things I like now that I didn't like when I first started watching.

I see the vast amount of step-incest in modern porn to be borne out of cost and utility. Wish such a story, you can film in one house and you don't have to deal with them meeting or why they're in each other's....faces all the time. With POV, you don't even have to hire a crew, just the female talent because the producer is the director, is the cameraman, is the male talent.
That said, I watched porn back when fellatio was the "scandalous" act. Anal was introduced as the next taboo and how it is almost required in every video. I'm pretty "meh" about it, perhaps because I've never had a partner who could easily do that and my immersion usually comes from things that I experienced in the past. I also remember the original Taboo movies, so all this step porn seems silly.

I think it's the role of a patron to express what he likes / dislike & what he expects from a game. It help the dev figure out what his customer base wants to see. Some devs make a living out of it after all.
Then it's up to him to satisfy them or tell his own story his own way. It's then all a matter of being gifted or not, having a good story, good characters and good renders.
We usually have all of those with TheGary

What this game suddently becomes some kind of shitty sandbox with stats, tasks, quests, having to go here do that and no good story or dialogues !??
So this game was a trap, a nice story of people having fun in the forest, all this just to trap the player in a house and making him do the daily chores!
Oh i just tried it and i'm already stuck with nowhere to go and nothing to do just because i did not do the requested task for the day.
Well nice coding dev!! you should maybe think that player would like to see what happens if you don't follow the tasks as intended.
So a shitty sandbox with shiity coding, that's great !! Adios muchachos, i have better things to do than running around in a house with nothing to do!
