its all about contrast: 1st part you have an MC thats dealing with a breakup and enjoying camping with some friends mostly carefree, the 2nd part is the MC is thrown into a highly dangerous situation and now has to deal with it if the MC wants to live..The first part in the forest was very good, i liked it, the problem is that the second part is just another game that has absolutely nothing to do with the first part.
It's a stupid story of a guy who was abducted during some trekking with friends who find himself in a house with women and who seems to find this quite normal.
The dialogues with the mother were so bad and stupid and the MC seems to be a spineless idiot who has to do stupid tasks and if he doesn't do those tasks exactly as requested he gets poisoned and he dies!!!
My god thats so supid that i almost died myself laughing when it happened.
It looks like some shitty bdsm porn movie from youporn.
I'm totally disapopinted because the beginning was really good and at the end of the first part when the MC got abducted and found himself bound in a cave i was expecting some kinky bdsm stuff not that stupid sandbox where you have to do all the chores exactly as requested or it's gameover.
the plot line is like something out of a saw movie and its further expressed by "mother" in contrast the MC problems of getting over a breakup is no where near the lvl of surviving life (again its the concept of saw movies), the MC can leave at anytime BUT without knowledge of the surrounding forest or wild lands he may as well be dead (this is also stated by the MC as a logical reason to not leave the house as yet)... there is also the matter of stockholm syndrome where the captures may confuse the aggressor as a leader and try to earn their trust (under stressful situations these things can happen), there is also cults where the leader may use their charismatic charm to fool their followers into doing things they normally wouldn't do like drink grape flavored Kool Aid that was laced with cyanide... this may explain why the "sisters" and even the "mother" has accepted their roles in the household OR it could be they're perverted and like the way they live.. but so far the story is well written from a logical stand point..

i was curious to try the game since the 3some scene was avoidable. but in general you can't avoid abigail so that sucks. makes me feel like we wont have choices in who we interact with.
but yeah the second part of the game threw me way off. i think i'll just pass on the game since my curiosity is sated.

The dev was carfull in fact, he choose to not put a sandbox tag and set it as VN in oder to hook up people who hate sandbox, make them become patrons and then serve us that crappy repeating events sandbox.
I have played it to the end even if i'm not a fan of sandbox and it was quite lame, just an handfull of events repeating with sometimes a little change when you progress.
You really need to be bored to death to play this.

Pretty nonsensical conspiracy, if anything most if not all the dev's patreons are because of his previous heavy sandbox and teasing game, so if anything the first chapter would have made him lose patreons instead for having no sandbox and rushing to sex.
Good games don't care about tags or patreons, they do what they need to set the story. You got the wrong opinion from playing the first version, and now you are getting the wrong opinion again from the second one, how do you know the game isn't going to change again?

This is TheGary 2nd game. Anybody who played "Cure My Addiction" is aware what he/she will find in this game. I played Cure My Addiction and I think that The Patriarch's "setting" is even more interesting.
So, what's the point in shitting on something you dislike, I wonder: keep playing your damn scenarios where 20-somethings after losing their fathers start fucking their landladies and roommates, and stop bothering us.

I hope this game doesn’t go wrong as it went with Cure My Addiction. CMA practically went backwards and the rest of the game was ruined and pretty fucking boring. Now that 3some is avoidable I hope nothing is forced on this but all such "bad" fetishes can be avoided.
once again TheGary you managed to surprise us. Like CMA you are creating a really great game which pleases a number of players who love your creativity. I have no more word and I would be glued to your updates to take pleasure in enjoying your game. A thousand thanks again.

Not exactly as the MC doesn't share, the girlfriend is not his to start with.
He enjoys a girl that HIS FRIEND is willing to share
And then again, it's only the prologue, a completely different story develops starting from the 2d release
