This game is lucrative money. Tbh I could do programming but I wont be needing to get payed.
In what sense is it lucrative? Do you mean that it has the potential to become lucrative if it were regularly updated? As it currently stands, it a long way from being a lucrative proposition.

People should start paying for what they actually have gotten. Both this and the previous demo are quite promising and deserving of some support just for that.

Go into it with that mindset, and there will be a lot less drama.

Well, that's very easy to say, but I've been a Pope Tier Patron for three months now, and a lot of people here have been supporting the developer for longer than that. So what you're effectively saying to me is that I should regard my $60 as money well spent, just because I like the demo.

For the record, I don't have the mindset of "I'm paying for the game, and so the game has to be worth what I pay." The concept of being a patron is that you're supporting an artist's work, usually because you believe that the artist has potential, and you want to see that potential realized. However, the artist has to actually be producing work, or the patrons will realize that their support is misplaced. That's how it has always been.

So, while I like what I've seen, so far, and I want to contribute to Alishia's success, and the success of this project, I do need to have confidence that I'm not just throwing my money into a bottomless pit. An artist has to be producing worthwhile results in order to continue to receive support.

I sincerely hope that Alishia will produce a significant update soon, because I would like to go on supporting her work, and I would also hate to see this project abandoned.

Well, I don't think the Patreon model is ideal, far from, so I'm not endorsing a recurrent subscription necessarily. I'm more a fan of throwing some money at the artist you appreciate whenever you feel like it. Typically the way that you'd rush out to buy an album that would blow you away, or buying a game or a Netflix/Amazon subscription after having seen a bit of a game or show and loving it. This is of course less ideal for the artist than the subscription model, but I find that that model has been taken too far with all the bullshit exclusive content and reward tiers and all of that. A simple one time donation from someone is actively discouraged these days as providing less value, which kind of sucks for those with less means to contribute, and I think it also discourages less mainstream projects without as big of a base compared to more glossy commercialized projects meant to appeal broadly.

Random stream of thought there which is entirely anecdotal but at least I know that for me to contribute to something it needs to very simple, as little time, as little choices, and as few clicks as possible, while not feeling that I still missed out on stuff even after paying.

When a project is up and running, mature, reliable, and pushing out regular episodes, then people know what they're getting already and a subscription model is more justifiable.

This is precisely why I stopped my Pope Tier patron donations. Until content is released, I refuse to throw money at someone/something and receive nothing in return. This is coming from someone who has been an on and off again Patron of hers since Holy Slaves. I've been burned once by this author. I won't be done in twice.

"January" pope tier image xD
As in, the Pope Tier image which was chosen during the January vote, which ran from the 27th to the 30th of January. So the image is on time. It's the next update to the game which is way behind schedule. Hopefully, we'll get some info on the current state of development, now that there's a Discord channel.

obviously if the Discord is just for patrons there's no need for someone to link it because it'll just be a shitstorm, but if anyone's a patreon and has access to the discord it would be cool if they kept us up to date with any news shared there.

So far, the Discord has pretty much just been a bunch of spamming of emojis and memes, plus a few porn links, mostly by people who seem to know each other from outside of the channel. There has been zero discussion of the game or its progress. I think that only two people (including myself) have asked for status updates on the game and its development, but no answers have been given.

Alishia said on Patreon that the idea of the Discord server was to increase transparency about development of the game, and to make for better communication between her and the patrons. That hasn't happened yet.

Alishia, if you happen to read this post, you need to make good. You said that the Discord server was for better communication with your patrons, so communicate. I don't know you, personally, but I like your game, and I think that it has a lot of potential. That's why I've been supporting you on Patreon. I want to see this game take off and go places. Also, in the one exchange of communication which I had with you outside of this forum and Patreon, I got a good impression of you and thought that you were pretty cool and friendly. But now the silence is becoming deafening. I've defended you on this thread and continued to send you my money, but if you can't be bothered to tell your supporters what's going on, then March will be my last month of supporting you, at least until a substantial update is released.

That's pretty disappointing.I have no idea why someone would just spam memes in a porn game discord server lmao.

I was also thinking about donating to her patreon because the prologue was amazing and I'm super excited about the game, but if this keeps up I also don't really want to risk it.

What deadline? Alishia explicitly avoided giving a deadline out of fear that the update wouldn't be ready in time.
The update that everyone is waiting was excheduled for early december, if i remember right, and each month she gave a new deadline (failing each time to deliver of course xD) so i suppose that he is following the "monthly update" that Alishia followed with her original idea (december->nopes, january->nope, stops giving deadlines, february->??? 25th and still nothing).
