graphicwise phillygames is 1st.
Renders in itself weren't that bad tbh. But the way they're put together is abysmal.
What's with independent Devs and leaving renpy?
If it's actually because they want to learn Unity for example, and they start with VN because it's their comfort zone, then I can dig that.
But I feel like most likely it's just last desperate attempt at shielding the renders and animations from modders and extractors.
Which sends the clear message, that it's the only thing of value that they have.
I wish all that effort to obstruct the visuals would be put into making better stories instead.
