The Dev of Dr Amana recently made a post stating that he has transferred all the game assets and the patreon page to a friend of his. So all hope is not lost. With another Dev it might not be the same game anymore but I'll take that over an abandoned game anytime.

Regarding the next update, I'm happy that Paula will be the main focus. I can't wait to see what we can do to her !

The thing is that I give quite importance to the "writing". What a cliche ? right ? I like Dr. Amana because its dialog which I can relate to. In these kind of games you can usually perceive when the developer who explains the story has had some vague similar experiences, done good research or just keeps in the cliche World. That's why there are so little stories with protagonists with real professions. It is difficult to make them credible since here we read the thoughts of people and not so many TV series follow the Scrubs approach.

Anyway, since I was already pretty disappointed with "The Personal Assistant" rework. Come on... it's just a complete different genre ! I will just hope his friend has had similar life experiences and can express them.

And yeah ! Paula fucking finally. I am still trying to figure out how much sex is the next update having. The events that I am working now are pretty early in the story, like when Paula and Agnes meet and their friendship flourishing. There will be sex for sure, otherwise after so much time you people are going to riot. But I'll also keep several things in the teasing realm. Let's see if I can manage. Slow burn has never been my thing. I get bored too easily.

As much as I like a good fuckathon, I do too much prefer a good story and believable characters but games like that are few and far between. I have never seen Scrubs so I don't know what you mean...

Yeah the new Personal Assistant has nothing to do with the old game but the name... But it's a BlackHeart game so there is that.

And if I can give you my opinion on what to put in the next update... the darker the better !

Thanks for game. I really liked Rebecca's model: an unusual combination of dark skin, light eyes and black hair. An interesting decision in the storyline for several characters. This is probably the only RenPy lesbofemdom game out there.

In any case, I am quite enjoying Paula's story so far. So more of her is definitely welcomed.

Doing later Paula scenes before earlier ones can cause you not to have the req. to reach the scene with his friend on the bench, which is the final paula scene to date.
But most story adjustment is found in the choices you make.

There was no transfer of any rights, BH asked politely if he could do a remake and got OK, BH could really use the model without asking. The BH remake is more in the style of his previous VN's totally different than the original, would have prefered if Justxthings made the remake

Time for the monthly report. Just as I expected January didn't provide much progress but February started taking off pretty well.

Things are starting to take shape. In this first update centered on Paula, the focus is giving her background. I still don't have a clear idea of what will come into 0.3. I have been struggling writing one of the events. I already went through a similar issue with the Beca + Agnes story-line where I though I'd be able to solve it in one event and had to split it into four to make it feel fluid. As per dates, I guess by the beginning of next month I should have enough content to think of an alpha version. We'll see.

So, what am I working on ?

Paula, Agnes & how the "cooking for dummies" chat originated. In case of doubt, that is Paula.



Richard meeting Paula. The poor guy had to go experience intensive blue balling for almost a year before he finally decided to try blackmail the cute red headed into some benefits. I don't excuse blackmailing, but the poor guy went through a lot.



I need to ask one of my kids to draw something for the blank page =D

We will also see Paula & Richard first event together in the present time but no images so far.

Paula will get to know Natalie better after pissing Ruth off.



And also we will see some Paula & Rebeca showdown in their 19 y.o versions.



Finally... some general introspection to keep building Paula's character and grow empathy towards her before throwing her under Irwin & Mr. Smith arms in 0.4.

If I'd have done the remake, It would have been an in-between the harshness of a rock hitting your face the BH style provides and the slow poisoning with little sips the old version offered (corruption path, the others were not that memorable). And I'd probably be a little bit less mean for the sake of being mean... come on... stealing her blanket in the original game was such a shitty thing to do. It's funny how making her pee in a bucket didn't trigger me at all but stealing her blanket away made me rage against the MC and wish he would fall down the stairs and break his neck.

Anyway, I'd suggest reading the whole thing to empathize with the characters. Since in the end it is a great part of what makes the hot scenes good. It is also the same reason your new game is SO much better than the previous one. Kimberly is much more engaging to follow and feels really trapped, as opposed to "porn trapped". I never said fuck the story…I really like Paula’s story. And I did read the whole thing. It’s just that Paula is the one who really intrigues me as a whole. Physically I like her face and body better. But I also love how you wrote her and sometimes she says stuff like “oh who am I kidding, I love it”.

About my game. Thanks for saying that and I’ll appreciate your review no matter what it says. I just got a new computer with an NVIDIA 3080. So I took some time off while waiting. But I am back at it and this is going to be fun.

Oh, that's typical in Europe (mostly focused in German speaking countries). Basically there are a couple of chefs which "teach" a bunch of people. The students prepare their own food and eat it afterwards.

Mine is obviously much uglier, but I had to mix a bunch of assets myself... the chairs are from a beach cafe, the kitchen is from a house, the island from another house and the building walls are from the cafe where Agnes & Paula saw Rebeca for the first time. Good enough I'd say =D Now I need to grab a bunch of candles, hide everything but the flame, make it blue and arrange them to make the kitchen flame below the frying pan. This "custom" scenarios are kind of hard work.
